@vk5qi It would have been LoRa if it had 2¼ units of \\ (this part in LoRa waterfall looks like //\\`//). It doesn't look like a 14MHz ionospheric sounder either (they seem to have *much* slower sweep). Made me really curious.

Did I just see... LoRa... on HF? This was recorded on 14205 kHz USB, from my station here in Adelaide, Australia. That looks very much like LoRa.

Today marks a very important day for me personally. I have finally managed to introduce Enigma-breaking, as developed by Marian Rejewski, into the official curriculum of the cryptanalysis course at @UAM_Poznan . I blended my notes and ideas with the power of AI to deliver a high-quality learning experience in which students can follow every step of the method. The second part of the session will be dedicated to the extension of Rejewski’s idea: the Turing–Welchman bombe. We break Enigma at will! Next week: Zygalski sheets to complete the cycle. I’m truly happy that cryptology in Poznań is finally being taught again as it was back in the 1930s! But now we end with post-quantum ultra-modern cryptography. Such a long journey.

Stanisław Ulam was sitting through a dull lecture when he began doodling on graph paper. He wrote the number 1 in the center, then spiraled outward—2, 3, 4, 5, and so on—simply to pass the time. BREAKING: Microsoft just announced several major changes to Windows 11 in an effort to win back user trust and evolve the platform into something people will actually want to use over macOS and Linux! It's a huge announcement that addresses Windows 11's biggest problems today, tackling core fundamental issues such as unreliable system performance, UX consistency, AI bloat and general enshittification. Microsoft has confirmed that this year, it WILL be reducing where ads and Copilot appear throughout the system, including in Start, Widgets, Notepad, Photos, and more! File Explorer and Windows Search will be upgraded with improved performance and capabilities that make finding apps and files much faster and easier. The OS will become lighter with less RAM and system utilization at idle, making it smoother to run on low end hardware with limited memory. These improvements will also benefit high-end PCs too. Windows Update will be improved with more granular controls and the ability to postpone updates for longer, along with reducing how often the OS needs to restart to install an update. Microsoft has also confirmed that it's bringing back fan favourite features such as the ability to move the Taskbar!
