@modrail Out of curiosity what are the big differences between the E2s in BR, Southern, and LBSC conditions?

@01Salty1 That’s all I can think of for now, but I’m sure there’s plenty of other little details I missed. The takeaway from all this is THE LORE is not some immutable scripture but a fun creative exercise by one dude who changed his mind about a lot of shit and always had new ideas.

Fuck it, thread about changes to the Sodor map through the years! 1- The Hawin Russagh didn’t exist until the 1987 map. Before that, the “Cows” bridge was the one over the Hawin Croka. I’m guessing this was changed cause the text says the bridge is on a long straight stretch-

I've had an idea for a ghost story. One of two scenarios could work for this story. Keep in mind this is in the RWS and not the TVS canon. Oliver is haunted by the ghost of S.C Ruffey or Douglas is haunted by the spiteful brakevan. Which would you choose?

@GeoffreyS94 What I ended up going with for original locomotives was the Ramsbottom tanks used at Crewe Works, Ebbw Vale, etc as well as the 0-4-0s built by John Smith & Co in Coven!

@SleeperAgent01 Barrow Haematite had a box tank? I never knew! I’ve always wanted to know more about their locomotives but I’ve never been able to find a complete roster

Man sure I'd found out the Findhorn misnomer, but the Barrow Haematite Steel Co box appears to be another Neilson from looking at the mismatched shapes of the sticking out bit below the tank (in line with the cylinder). Still both must have been built pretty close to each other.

Chris never gets to win, cause not only do people constantly trash his books and essentially call him a lesser version of his father, but even when he drops lore that truly isn’t worth getting upset over, he’ll still get called a lazy hack. You people need to learn gratitude.

This is technically the only Sodor engine to ever exist. As far as I'm aware, Frank Hibberd W/No.3685 is the only railway engine to ever go to Walney Island, therefore making it a Sodor engine. From Gordon Edgar's Industrial Locomotives & Railways of Cumbria

On a bit of a Wellsworth & Suddery No.4 candidates hunt at the moment. By chance does anyone know of a Fletcher Jennings / Lowca Engine Works Class J being built? An example is described in the advertisement but the 0-6-0ST remains a void in my build list for the firm.

@ModelsSodor I like it, but I feel like the Ballast Plant should be more accessible from the main line coming west—after all, that’s where the trains of unprocessed rock would be coming from!

I made this rough mock up for an upcoming video, but just had a conversation about Killdane over dm and thought I may as well open it out. I added the Motorail terminal on the west side of the station for better connection with Cronk, and AB&GC plant on the east. Any thoughts?
