@thsottiaux being stuck in "thinking" for literal hours with no feedback hasn't been great. happens in codex app, cli and opencode via subscription 😥

What are we consistently getting wrong with codex that you wish we would improve / fix?

@ScriptedAlchemy noticed this as well. i was quite suprised as otherwise the app seemed to be very resilient and well made. had three agents running and one of them had a decently sized diff and the whole interface just gave up.

I do like the codex app, but man, does it struggle at scale.

@maxleiter is multi-framework design mode planned? (or even possible) would it work with imported repos or do they have to have been started in v0?

The v0 team has spent the last few months cooking on "v1" There's a lot to unpack, but I wanted to share my three favorite features: - support for multiple web frameworks - a new editor powered by VS Code - a Data Viewer for interacting with your integrations

@kentcdodds @vitest_dev @bunjavascript bun --bun vitest works for me, been using this setup for a while already so if it's not working for you i'd look into external causes. the only annoying bit is that it doesn't support coverage (which i dont use for now), here's the issue tracking this github.com/oven-sh/bun/is…

@dariuscosden did you find out the difference between that and fetchQuery? fetchQuery makes you wait for revalidation while this flag does it in the background and serves stale data at first?

The solution is to use ensureQueryData while setting the revalidateIfStale flag to true This gives you the benefits of not making a network call if the data is cached and fresh while also refreshing it if it is stale The beauty of Tanstack Query is in the control it gives you. You can use ensureQueryData, or fetchQuery, or prefetchQuery to get the behavior you want case by case

What's the best way to prefetch your data in Tanstack Start/Router? The docs all show using "ensureQueryData" but that returns cached data even if it's been invalidated I'm currently doing "fetchQuery" which accounts for invalidation but it doesn't feel right?

@plushdohn @jamwt yes, convex auth is based on auth.js -> I am just pointing that neon went into direction of doing the same but with betterauth

RSC has been a confusing, insecure, inelegant mess. From day 1. It is, by far, the web ecosystem change that has had a lowest ROI and caused the most confusion for Convex users. And the entire "edge" thing... That was never going to be the right dx for actual devs.

@kirso_ @jamwt i was talking about convex auth, the auth solution offered by convex. better-auth integration is indeed helpful but i'd rather have an off-the-shelf solution for something like convex, similar to how supabase, firebase, appwrite, etc. all ship their own auth

@plushdohn @jamwt I think neon just baked in betterauth as a default into their db, maybe thats a better direction than auth.js

Let’s see if @Grok 5 can beat the best human team @LeagueOfLegends in 2026 with these important constraints: 1. Can only look at the monitor with a camera, seeing no more than what a person with 20/20 vision would see. 2. Reaction latency and click rate no faster than human. Join @xAI if you are interested in solving this element of AGI. Note, Grok 5 is designed to be able to play any game just by reading the instructions and experimenting.

@jjenzz @MichaelArnaldi @Cal_Irvine @hackerdocc the "standard" part of useworkflow is "worlds" i think. it still needs a form of DI to inject the world implementation at compile time. it does so using env variables (😬). it'd be the same as effect, except in effect it's runtime and typesafe.

wait, so let me get this straight: >170-250k base comp + ~200k in equity at a STARTUP >get to work with Dhravya >AI companies adopting the product like crazy >Effect.ts codebase Yeah this might be one of the coolest jobs I have ever seen.
Dhravya Shah@DhravyaShah

We're a team of two full time engineers (INCLUDING ME) and 2 part-time researchers right now. Growing too fast now. So I'm finally hiring! Looking for cracked, irrational thinkers and doers who love hard challenges. should be fun to be with Remote OK. In person (SF) preferred!
