i think it's more honest to meet the world where it is. for better or worse AI writing is here, and to assume it's deadening is also to foreclose on encountering new types of experiences. hard to defend Muzak, hard to give up Mozart, but no one knows what's coming or can be generated so to speak, and i'd rather keep the faith that people can make continually surprising things with new tools
