A resident raised concerns about pedestrian safety near a Starbucks drive-through in @GburgMD. We met at the site, took photos and videos, and shared them with Public Works. Within weeks, solutions were designed and implemented. You can see the changes in the pictures. After a few days of being installed, some of the new improvements already show signs of car impact, demonstrating the need/value of this work. We will continue working to improve pedestrian safety. A big thank you to: * The resident who spoke up * Our wonderful Public Works team * The property owner for taking action in short order Let's keep working together to improve pedestrian safety in our city. I’ve ridden my bike on Shady Grove. Not the most comfortable route for cyclists! Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this.

I'm planning on attending! Curious how this will compliment the new faster bus service in this corridor. An opportunity to make a very wide road into something safer for all road-users, as well as a connection to the Shady Grove metro.

Silver Spring - DC Metro commuters: what are your plans for the summer Red Line shutdown? Personally I am hopeful that the downtown express shuttle will work pretty well, and the reduced MARC fares are nice too!

Can’t criticize Laviolette for leaning on top guys in 3P/OT because it worked, but it’s also hard to justify keeping Rempe in the lineup if they aren’t comfortable using him in close games. He took 5 total shifts and 0 after the 2P. Have to think change coming for Game 3. #NYR
