@GhorbaniiNiyak I used to have an international press card (one of the ones in your picture). I ordered it online. No requirement to prove that I was press. In the UK they only ones with any real credibility are the NUJ ones.

I'm putting these examples of international press cards (Germany) here for those who've never had the chance to see one in their life! If you don't have the facts, you might as well keep your mouth shut—no one will call you a fool unless you prove it yourself 😘

This person took a photo of my press ID (My address and details on it), and the police are fully protecting him. Despite explaining the situation to them, they don't seem to care about my safety! @metpoliceuk I feel seriously threatened by this person, and any incident from today onward will be his responsibility! @CollinRugg Please explain how Communication and Power might be disrupted? I work in those fields and this is a common theme but I don’t understand the science of “how” this is supposed to work. 98% of all data communication is through buried cables. Power is land based. So how?

JUST IN: The ongoing geomagnetic storm has been upgraded to level 5 out of 5, or "extreme," making it the first G5-level storm since 2003. @julietturnbull It's not a drowning until they find a body. Hopefully the person just got out and left without realising the had caused concern. And @Eryljones the water here is not tidal, but it does change level and flow rate quite dramatically all the time, and today it is very high.

@GrahamO @brianrobertmuir @roadcc What is legally enforceable is the bylaw that made it an offence which is displayed on a board at the park gate. But what happened here is that the cyclist committed that offence and then refused to give his details. It is that last bit that got them arrested.

@brianrobertmuir @roadcc Agreed, however given that a paint sign on a road is not enforceable, its unlikely that the paint on the path is not legally enforceable either.

@RealKaffo @mikewhoatv @buffybatik Taser, for vast majority, is transitory pain and causes distraction & debilitation. Baton may or may not work when adrenaline pumping, can break bones or joints & can cause permanent disability. Continue to use taser? Or beat man on ground with baton. Not a great choice is it?

@mikewhoatv @buffybatik Why was that necessary? Those police couldn't overwhelm him? They couldn't have immobilised him with their baton to the back of the legs then cuffed him if he was that much of a danger? That was horrific even without the terrible outcome.

We spoke about this recently via Twitter Spaces. The Met Police have a lot to answer for. Black people beware, they will use a taser on us without a moments hesitation. The UK’s biggest gang is still institutionally racist.

@khan_sophie @metpoliceuk You could have equally elected to say that a man who brandished offensive weapon in public place and jumped off bridge to escape from police who had tasered him, has sadly died. Why did you choose the words you did? Are you deliberately trying to confuse the debate that follows?

@t87169956 @MetPoliceEvents No such thing as "quadruple pay". Most of these officers will be taken from their normal working areas to do this aid, starting their shifts at 05:30am, working over 12 hours. They are allowed breaks during this time, as they're not robots and require some respite and food.
