@LoveladyLuke Thanks! There’s a lot that I want to do with the cleaning business that my job was preventing me from doing, and the business is at a point now where I’m able to pay myself a salary so I figured it was time

@LoveladyLuke @nick_2926 I love it, I’m definitely gonna try this myself. My conversion rates are between 30-40% and it’s something I’ve been working on improving for awhile, looking forward to giving this a shot

@nick_2926 @pontodotdev For people that don’t book initially, whatever date they tell us they were targeting we tell em we only have one slot left that day and it’ll be gone likely in the next few hours. Most people just want to book and be done calling companies so they almost give up and just say fine

We had 30 website lead forms submitted this month. Where the leads came from: • Google Search: 60% • Social Media: 23% • Yelp: 7% • Website: 7% • ChatGPT: 3% ~50% close rate.

@LoveladyLuke This is really smart, I’d never considered looking at this by city. Do you have multiple Google Business Profiles?

I also ran some analysis on the bottom three cities I had for LSA targeting to see what my lowest clothes rates were based on city. I had three out of six that were below 20% close rate so I turned those off so now we’re only targeting cities that have historically high Close rate for LSA this is also been super helpful

Thought experiment for you @irentdumpsters. If you could set up 20 GMB profiles in your area what business would you choose? Maybe people say you can't do it, but what if you could. Painting? Pest Control? Plumbing?

@LoveladyLuke That’s awesome, I’ve been on a big hiring push the past few weeks so I’ve had LSA fully turned off but should have it turned back on by next week. 7X ROAS is wild, I think we usually hover around 5X which I’m very happy with

@pontodotdev What’s interesting is I set my max bid to $50 per lead and it’s been giving me leads for around $42 consistently on Avg, I’m just the last 10 days of April LSA ROAS is 7x right now!!

How retarded do you have to be to pay 50 dollars per LSA phone call and give it to an AI

True that’s fair, when you word it like that it sounds more natural. I think tone and cadence might be more important than the actual words for an opener The biggest thing is saying something that a customer could also say in order to get the person to pay attention (at least when people call me, I don’t have much experience cold calling other people)

@pontodotdev Idk I cold called for 4 years in tech sales and everyone always tried to play around with better openers but I used “Hey this Luke with xyz, how you doin today” in 90% of my calls and it worked great for me, it’s more important what you say after, and your tonality IMO

If you're cold calling a business trying to sell something, never lead with "how are you doing today?" Only people who have something to sell ask that

I sometimes wonder what the secret sauce is to being a great operator. Lot of factors at play, but maybe the most important is to be a great communicator Writing this text in two minutes is unironically one of the most impressive things I've ever heard. PJ is a world-class communicator, which lends itself to being a world-class operator If you want to be great at running a business, start by becoming a great writer

Rate my complaint handling skills (sent this out before hitting the road this morning so I wanted to get it done before our team asked how to handle it) 👇🏻 Backstory: I tweeted yesterday about someone calling off on their first job ever with us. This caused us to scramble and have to get a second cleaner of ours to someone’s bigger cleaning. Rightfully so, they were upset 1 cleaner showed up later than the first. Learned a ton from the summit I went to and @andywalkerhq made a great point — refund more than necessary and move on. Eliminate the headache and keep the real estate in your mind free. And no, I didn’t use AI for this response. Typed it up in 2 mins and sent away.

@irentdumpsters I'm late to seeing this post but we're actually considering doing this, the same law applies in NY and we're already in a few hundred homes per month with the cleaning business. Might need you guys to run this up for us as well

If I launched a mold testing company in Sarasota, Florida tomorrow… I wouldn't touch remediation. I wouldn't buy a single piece of removal equipment. I'd build a mold TESTING company that does $40K+/month on inspections alone. Sarasota is the mold capital of the Gulf Coast. 74% average humidity. Hurricanes Ian, Helene, and Milton left thousands of homes with hidden water damage. And Florida law says the company that TESTS for mold cannot be the same company that REMOVES it. That one regulation is the entire business model. Here's my full playbook startup costs, pricing, customer acquisition, and the exact revenue math. 👇
