Big update: we are announcing the release of “Just Look Up,” a feature length documentary about Climate Defiance. The executive producer is Adam McKay, the creator of the similarly named film hit film “Don’t Look Up.” This documentary, in the works since 2023, chronicles almost every aspect of our lives — our actions, our journeys, our hopes, our fears. Directed by Emma Wall and Betsy Hershey, the film features high-adrenaline chase scenes and confrontations — but also so much more. The filmmakers also followed us in our more intimate moments — with our families and with our friends, in hope and in sorrow, in joy and in despair. The film is now playing at the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious documentary festivals. It also played last week at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival, which is also one of the world’s leading documentary festivals. We are cautiously optimistic that this film will make it to the U.S. sometime soon. Stay tuned for details on that. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
