Conservatives demanded PMJT resign. Conservatives demanded an election. Conservatives lost said election. Poilievre lost his seat. The fact PP hasn't resigned in disgrace is proof he lacks fundamental decency and will continue to poison Canadian political discourse. Evict him.

Damien Kurek, MP of Battle River—Crowfoot, Alberta is stepping down to allow Pierre Poilievre to run in a byelection. Pierre made sure to get one of the safest ridings so he won't be embarrassed again.

@tuppid The reason I hear most often is that they want a more cooperative parliament & don't think that's possible with Poilievere as the leader. I'm fine with him coming back because I don't think most Canadians are in the mood for a paralyzed parliament. Can a leopard change his spots?

Poilievre hasn’t posted on social media since the loss, but it would reflect well on him if he had the decency to congratulate Fanjoy for his win in Carleton and to thank the constituents he represented for two decades.

Canadians reelected Sean Fraser who destroyed our immigration system, and Chrystia Freeland who destroyed our finances. Help me understand this.

Well folks, this is not the result that we wanted, but here we are. The good news is we received the best worst result in that it is another minority government. Parliament is a very unstable composition given the split in seats, and will very likely not last 18 months, and we will very likely very likely be in a stronger position for a new election. And NP will be there every day to continue doing what we have been for the past 2 and a half years - holding this government to account. It's time to get to work.

@brianlilley Hahah here it is. Pierre Pollievre supporters already starting with the "fixed" nonsense. You wait, once the liberals win, conservatives will be claiming they saw ballots being burned in the alleys.

A reader just sent me the written complaint that his wife made in the riding of Carleton, at St. Michael School on Corkery Road in Ottawa. Apparently the person handing out the ballots was asking, "Are you voting for Fanjoy?"

My Federal Election Forecast: 1. CPC Super Majority; 2. PPC with ZERO seats; 3. NDP reduced to Non-Party Status; 4. Green Party Wiped off the Map; 5. Liberal Party Minority - Mark gets his seat but walks away within 6 months of election. 6. BLOC - who cares? What's yours?

The only reason that Poilievre got a post-debate bump is because he toned down the attacks and presented himself in a civil manner. Maybe you should think about whether the best way to support him is to do the same thing. ///

I was actually ready to vote Conservative before Justin Trudeau resigned, and I had quite a few posts that were critical of the Liberal party, but every single time I posted something remotely favourable, I got called a libtard or a retard or a c*nt or worse. 1/
