For the record, by Mac Mini I mean any local, isolated device. Any computer you own that can give Clawdbot its own isolated environment is 1000x better than VPS. Old laptops work just great

Everyone online is debating the best Clawdbot (aka Moltbot) setup. I've tested every method. Here's what actually works: Cloud/VPS: - Cheapest. - Fastest to start. - But you're plugging in APIs for everything. - Technically confusing for most people. Mac Mini (or any spare computer): - You control the environment. - You control what tools it accesses. - You can watch it work in real time. That last part matters. Watching Clawd (aka Molty) on screen teaches you how it thinks. The more you tinker, the better you get. Skip the "correct" path. Start with hardware you can see.

I’ve started seeing some clawdbot is overrated and it’s gonna disappear quick posts way sooner. here’s my honest take after using it for long enough: most people just don’t have workflows worth automating , they buy the mac mini, set up local servers, spawn 20 agents and still dunno what problem they’re solving or what they’re trying to automate.. that’s because they went input focused instead of output focused. running more isn’t the same as solving more.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ it’s like buying a 64-core server to send emails faster. so if the workflow isn’t valuable, nothing really scales.. but who’s winning with clawdbot? > started with a painful, repetitive task > automated it > infrastructure came after People calling it overhyped: > started with infrastructure > looked for things to automate > found nothing worth 100x-ing you can’t brute force your way to leverage, you gotta understand that clawdbot is just a multiplier. 10x of zero is still zero… so before buying LLM subs , APIs , hardwares , bookmarking 200 articles, actually ask yourself what task do I hate doing repeatedly? what’s eating my time that shouldn’t be? what would I 10x if I could? find the problem first. the tool will make sense after.

So clawdbot is now @openclaw. Got it.

Clawdbot is all hype right now. Buggy, too hard to set up, and no clear use cases yet. You know what that means? HUGE business opportunity.

2. Web search: This allows me to offload rabbit-hole topics to clawdbot so I don't get distracted. Example: "clawdbot find recent reddit posts and x posts about clawdbot skills and tell me if you find any that had engagement on the posts"

The top 2 slept on add-ons I use personally: 1. Gmail / Google Calendar: Paramount for having clawdbot summarize and prioritize when I get emails I need to actually pay attention to. Email filters fall short here, since it can't know the sentiment of an email like clawdbot can.
