17 including women and children were stuck and are being rescued from a lift in the recently opened Puzhuthivakkam MRTS station. Remember these stations were opened few weeks ago only. @GMSRailway accountability??

@thekaipullai In North, if x is the cost of work, contract goes for 0.8x, 30 to 50 percent commission, actual work of done is for 50% of the estimate. There will be severe cost cutting everywhere. This can be seen in places where a north contractors takes the work. Esp in railway stn contd...

Come to think of it, every thing that is built by the govt, be it roads, tracks, electricity poles, bus stops, bollards, pavements, light bulbs, street lights, pipes, cables, gardens, is touched by corruption. Bribes would have been paid, officials would have been bought. And if there is corruption, then corners would have been cut, quality would have been compromised and parameters would have been skipped. Else how would people make money This means anything and everything is actually a potential source of death for us common citizens. Fact that we return alive everyday after work sometimes feels like a miracle. P:S : Nothing would change unless the harshest penalty that govt officials face for murdering citizens thru their ineptitude and corruption is a six month paid holiday and then a transfer
