BREAKING: Sources indicate LIV is preparing to wind down operations as the Public Investment Fund (PIF) reassesses its broader strategy amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
A recent board meeting in New York focused on the league’s near-term future, including whether to cease operations following this week’s event in Mexico City or continue through the end of the season.
Importantly, this is not a reflection of LIV’s commercial performance. The league was fully funded through 2030 — this is a top-down strategic shift driven by evolving geopolitical priorities. MBS pulled the plug.

@baseball441771 @corbin_young21 The first 15 seconds are of Smith, the last are of Schultz
English

Noah Schultz, the Chicago White Sox's top pitching prospect, expects to have a two-start week against the Rays and at the Athletics. It's hard not to compare Schultz to a taller and heavier Chris Sale, based on Schultz being 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds.
✍️Schultz had a 36.3% ball rate and 12-14% swinging-strike rate in the minors over the past two seasons. He doesn't generate tons of extension (6.2 to 6.3 feet) while throwing from a lower arm slot (5.7 feet).
🛝Schultz's slider grades as his best pitch while generating over 42 inches of downward movement and 12 inches of glove-side sweep. It's rare to find a slider thrown at 82 mph, with that much downward and horizontal movement. The closest slider comparisons in velocity and movement include Chris Sale, Brent Suter, Aaron Ashby, and JoJo Romero, from the left side.
🪝The curveball has been eliciting whiffs (29% swinging-strike rate) and weak contact (.276 wOBA, .183 xwOBA) throughout his minor league career over the past two seasons. Based on Schultz's curveball velocity, spin, and movement profiles, it looks like he can manipulate the slider and curveball as a scary breaking pitch.
Schultz's sinker and changeup should theoretically lead to weak contact, given the low launch angles and high groundball approaches. There's a lot to like about Schultz, so let's hope he lives up to the hype.

@MilesAde1998 @usanewshq No, you don’t know that. She could also be filming to get evidence so once they go to court they can show how much of a cunt she is to either low the alimony payments or at least get her to act civil and stop acting this way
English

@pranmatic @usanewshq If he’s in control his new gf won’t be filming this and putting it online.
Either he is ok with it or she did it damning whatever he thinks.
Bottom line is the video and online whining is just a cycle of toxic relationship and bitching about.
English

@MilesAde1998 @usanewshq No the dude is in control, you probably never dealt with a situation like this where you have to be civil with your ex cause of kids. A real man doesn’t freak out or stoop to this low life’s level. That’s control.
English

@pranmatic @usanewshq Obvious then dude ain’t in control… Isn’t it.
That is why such men get trampled over all the time.
English

@RichardCubbies @CJT9198 Show your source of these measurements that you claim. If he was truly 6’6” and 3/4ths then he would be listed at 6’7” like Noah’s is listed at 6’10”. Also you’re missing the point you claim he was 6’10”. Whether he is 3 or 4 inches it’s still a big difference and not the same
English

Guess who’s also 6 ‘10. It doesn’t mean jackshit

Imagine getting into the batter’s box against a 6’10 monster. Noah Schultz’s MLB debut will be a movie.
English

@MilesAde1998 @usanewshq Are you really this stupid?! It’s his new partner that’s recording this and putting it out on the internet. She’s clearly pissed off and jealous
English

@usanewshq Whining dude 😡
Listen, you picked her and decided to have a baby with her so stop whinging like a bitch over what is actually good for you.
Avoid her, walk a few secs collect your child and leave peacefully. STOP looking for attention and drama from her.
Just be a man, MAN UP.
English

@Arrokoth21 @PeloterosCol Ah no, it’s cause they wanted him to be stretched out in minors and they have to wait 15 days to be called back up
English

@PeloterosCol Lo de Didier Fuentes es brutal y ojalá siga así, tiene un futuro brillante por delante en Grandes Ligas. Si no está en este momento en MLB puede deberse a que probablemente están manipulando su tiempo de servicio.

@sawbuckmcgee Fangraphs has him stating to, BUT, he’s eligible to come up on April 14, but also has to be called up by April 19 since he’s already on their 40 man roster or they lose a minor option to him…speculation is he might start Wed at home vs Marlins and push everyone else back
English

@RealJRAnderson Big chance that Didier gets called back up in the next 5 days since that’s when his 20 day minor league option hits.
What’s your thoughts on him, immediate pickup?
English

@DanOgden16 Definitely a strong candidate. Robby Snelling and Didier Fuentes in that mix too
English

@RealJRAnderson hi James, is Christian Scott the next big arm that will most likely be promoted soon ?
English

@TJStats What were the reasons for you with Didier jumping up 33 spots

My Top 100 Prospects! This is my first update of the 2026 season. This is more of a minor tune-up based on Spring Training and the first few weeks of the MiLB Season. Most changes revolve around injury status and arsenal overhauls Check it out here: tjstats.ca/2026/04/13/top…
English

@rick_j_martinez @tyjadahahaha @grok What do you mean locked in? You know they can make changes to the rotation who they’re starting any time they want up until the game starts right? lol
English

@tyjadahahaha @grok He’s scheduled to make a start in minors on Tuesday, which is the same day he’s eligible to get called back up, so if he’s scratched ahead of time for that start, you know what’s about to happen
English

@TheSnydz @A_Smith_FS Fuentes needs to get called up soon or they’ll have to use minor league option on him since he’s on their current 40 man. Speculation is he starts Wednesday
English

@A_Smith_FS Been stashing Didier Fuentes & Bryce Eldridge in my NA spots, worth stashing Tolle over one of them?
English

@RunDMcD This is wrong thinking, Didier is already on the 40 man, if he’s in Minors for 20 days then they have to use the minor league option on him. He’ll get called up soon and speculation to pitch Wednesday
English

Doesn't sound like Didier Fuentes or JR Ritchie is coming up this week... and possibly not even next week. They may not want to bring them up for only 2 starts before Strider is back
Mark Bowman@mlbbowman
Best guess is the Braves will stick with a four-man rotation until April 21. At that point, they could fill the fifth spot with Perez if he isn’t claimed and opts to stay in the system, Fuentes or Ritchie. That spot could make two starts before Strider is ready to be activated
English

@mlbbowman So since Fuentes is on the 40 man, got sent back down, he can’t be down there for more than 20 days or he uses the minor league option.
Fuentes gets called up and pitches Wed and moves everyone else back?
