@nihilismpro @A_rai22 Very well explained. but this guy don't deserve the explanation, he just posted something in fluke for attention seeking. VC don't even know there is a zoom-in option on google maps, reset all places would have been visible for him.

Im sorry, on second thought i won't be able to explain to everyone in detail. Because i simply do not care enough anymore. I have been writing on blr for years now. And each year the crowd gets dumber and dumber. I so done with explaining it constantly my followers from outside blr will start thinking i am insane. But since you were one of the few people who interacted respectfully, i will broadly tell you the facts. I see that you're a IITB, Bain alum and work as a VC. I'm sure when you have the time and energy you can research and fill in the gaps. Most migrants live in a bubble, that is Varthur, Whitefield, Koramangla. Indiranagar, HSR area. Their lives & work don't leave that area, but they dont understand blr is so so much bigger. And all the developed, well maintained areas are on the other side of the city. When you draw the the red lines across and question public transport, refer to the population density chart. Look at where the clusters are and superimpose that on your gmap. You will understand why blr metro is built that way. Look into when blr metro contruction started and what phases and when. Also consider that, metro plan final approval and some financing comes from the central govt which often sits on the Metro DPRs and doesn't give approval. And when the approval comes, our tunnel boring machines get stuck (blr has soft plus hard rock soil) which makes tunneling slower than most places (news articles avbl on this), i know it seems like east blr is very dense but that is because you haven't seen all of blr properly only from whatever you've seen and heard from your peers (assuming also migrants) its forms an echo chamber. However pls refer to the reddit screenshot for more info on this (attached) With regard to what you circled in green i.e hsr, btm areas. They have only now picked up in the last 15 years, however i agree it has reached maturity and reflecting that Pink and Blue lines (set to open in 2026) are opening connecting these areas and the yellow line (check where it is on map) is set to open this year, it will solve a lot of problems. You've circled GT mall, pls its too embarrassing for me to even address it. Just check your qts they are making fun of you. Ask a local friend and they'll tell you too. You've circled blr palace built in 1887, I'm not sure why. But again, IT areas not equal to the most important place in blr that would be, CBD (central business district). And old British cantonment areas which is now where the Karnataka govt sits. Lastly busses. Just read up on the history of BMTC and how blr has been shaped by it and vice Vera. Its an incredibly interesting read. Additionally you have to check out these threads x.com/nihilismpro/st… x.com/nihilismpro/st… x.com/nihilismpro/st… x.com/Vikrchan/statu… Also no one understands Varthur area it is not blr at all. Nothing about it is, its built ground up in the last 7 -10 years in the worst manner. Almost no local goes there. I'll leave you with one parting advice. As a migrant you can be one of two types of bangaloreans. Either you try to understand the nuances, culture, history and a lot of things start making sense. Its never hurt anyone to learn more and at least get a clear picture. Or you can be that person whose tweet you replied to (attached below). Go thru their account you will see they are miserable they are and that is because they don't understand. At max reading all this will take 2 -3 hrs of your life but at least you'll have a clearer picture. Even if you dont read any of this, just don't be that twt account. Its the last thing we need rn. You'll be filled w hate in your own heart otherwise. After reading all this if you have any doubts or questions just dm me. I always help people who are genuinely curious. I hope I have not wasted my precious time here by writing all this. Good luck and i hope you have a pleasant stay

@TVMohandasPai @PriyankKharge @CMofKarnataka Things need to eventually attain equilibrium. 35% of GCC share by a single Indian city is still huge and inorganic growth can only lead to other issues. Let every city do well and get their fair share, it has to be 25% 4 cities and eventually 10% each city.

Very very worrisome. The result of continuing neglect of Bengaluru by successive govts. The last 12 months have been terrible. Will Minister @PriyankKharge take action to reverse this? We must not lose good jobs for our youth because of bad governance. @CMofKarnataka @siddaramaiah @DKShivakumar @rk_misra @lkatheeq If investments do not come how will jobs come? Bad situation.

Bengaluru’s share of India’s GCCs is projected to drop to 30% by the end of 2025 from 35% in 2020, even as cities like Hyderabad and Tier-2 hubs gain ground, according to data from ANSR Research. @shaw_reshab & I report moneycontrol.com/news/business/…

@IndianTechGuide Because Pune is what Bengaluru was 10 years ago, social media keeps hyping up obvious things and you draw unnecessary attention to the city, inflate the prices, make cost of living difficult and cry on social media later.

On the night of 07-08 May 2025, Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj, using drones and missiles. These were neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems. The debris of these attacks is now being recovered from a number of locations that prove the Pakistani attacks. Pakistan has increased the intensity of its unprovoked firing across the Line of Control using Mortars and heavy calibre Artillery in areas in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri sectors in Jammu and Kashmir. Sixteen innocent lives have been lost, including three women and five children, due to Pakistani firing. Here too, India was compelled to respond to bring Mortar and Artillery fire from Pakistan to a halt: Ministry of Defence

@dmuthuk @Bodybalram Interesting note here, even without Bengaluru, Karanataka 's per capita GDP will be somewhere around Maharashtra or even greater than that because 30% of city's population lives in Bengaluru and contributes around 40% of the GDP of the state, so it balances out.

@nishhhhanth @gemsofbabus_ Well, majority of city's population lives in these areas - Banashankari, Basavanagudi, Jayanagar, Malleshwaram, Indiranagar, Rajajinagar, JP Nagar etc - these areas - i e the actual Bengaluru City is the embodiment of what Bengaluru is meant to be. So nothing wrong.

@dmuthuk One of the reasons why Make in India was not successful as it should be. Businesses thrive in a fair and supportive environment. Nobody would invest in India if businesses are forced to favor a particular location/state by the central powers against all odds.

What we've suspected and have been saying is true. Centre is diverting investments meant for states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana to Gujarat. Two semiconductor projects meant for Tamil Nadu was moved away to Gujarat. Maharashtra is lagging in growth for last 10 years while Gujarat is thriving at the cost of Maharashtra. Pooja Prasanna, after months of detailed research has written an article in 'The News Minute', which needs subscription to read. Gujarat is growing because Modi in addition to India's Prime Minister is behaving like Gujarat's Chief Minister as well. Inspite of that our state is still outperforming Gujarat. That is Tamil Nadu. How much more Tamil Nadu would grow if centre is fair.

This is like 2-3 years old almost. Why are you creating a news out of it now? If you are doing this for attention seeking and engagement, then let me tell you - what you are doing is same as any typical social media influencer. Don't disturb the cosmopolitan culture of the city by bombarding propaganda repeatedly.
