@gdtwinkie It’s not uncommon for me to hear users attribute 40-50 bu/ac to tech changes, but it depends on the tech addressing their particular challenge: downforce, closing, etc. Growers with bigger challenges get bigger paybacks.

@ck_hardin My guess is that it’s a misunderstanding of the “first 24 hours” emergence statement.
More likely, he meant that all plants emerged within 24 hours of the initial emergence in the field.

@gregroth1 Small variations in the seed environment can produce big differences in the plant. Kernels are set on the ear early (V3-V6) in the life of the plant. In a drought year, these differences are more noticeable as stunted plants continue to fall further behind.

At #PPWC22 we announced multiple applications of cameras on a sprayer, all being developed by the Precision Planting Research and Development team. The vision technologies will pair with the 20|20 Gen 3 system and will be further field-tested in the spring of 2022. [see thread]
