Catholics listen up... When Jesus looked at the paralyzed man at Capernaum and said "Friend, your sins are forgiven". Did you know what happened next? The religious leaders, who were present, specifically the Scribes and Pharisees (present day protestants), objected in their hearts, thinking: "Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" Knowing their thoughts, Jesus challenged them by asking which was easier? To say "Your sins are forgiven" or to say "Get up and walk?". Now this is the divine dynamite... To prove He had the authority on earth to forgive sins, he commanded the paralyzed man to stand up, take his mat, and go home - which the man immediately did. Why am I bringing this? That same Jesus Christ who did this, gave authority to the Apostles to FORGIVE and RETAIN sins. As a Catholic, do not listen to what the protestants and pentecostals are saying about the Sacrament of reconciliation via confession. Never you doubt the authority which Christ has given his priests to absolve you of your sins during confession. The priests have the authority to absolve sins, and the Heavens will honor them. Christe eleison!!

@UcheMaryOkoli Sola Scriptura is the only power to check the heresy of catholicism, and they used every means to undermine the Holy Scriptures by pushing church magisterium and oral traditions on men. But God is still saving His people from clutches of such evils

I'm just curious 🤔. What have we benefitted from sola scriptura? I can name a thousand things the world has benefitted from the Catholic Church. But I can't name one single good thing that has come out of sola scriptura or what the world has benefitted from it. Does anyone here know?

@Xtopher_Uzo Were they unbelievers? Yes, for I know my schoolmates priests and nuns, and after many years they're still unbelievers according to what the Scriptures teaches. Although they profess Christ died for the sins of the world but for their personal sins they believe its the Rcc🙄

So an unbeliver will go to the seminary and spend almost 10 years away from his family and friends learning about Jesus and the church history. There is no need arguing with you. You are a famous unbeliver. You doubt everything. Even if I say Jesus is Lord, you will cast doubts. I wish you well.

Professors can train students and later confer the title of professorship to some of their students who have been found worthy. But somehow the Apostleship ended with the 12 Apostles. Protestants, Pentecostals, and cohorts... How dumb can y'all be? 😑🙂‍↔️

@Xtopher_Uzo In catholic seminaries they teach catholicism, the Apostles didnt chose "successors" they chose wholehearted believers to preach the gospel to unbelievers & religious & build (edify) the Church.

@prejoal What do they teach priests in seminary? What did the Apostles teach their successors? How did the Apostles confer apostleship to their successors? Does the church hold any ceremony during ordination? Elders are bishops in case you don't know.

@Xtopher_Uzo Were they ordained through s ceremony or appointed by Paul to choose elders? Its done today among the believers too. No seminary, no ceremony but by their walk of conduct as done in Acts 6

@GringoPapist The Believers always existed apart from catholicism right up to India. I believe God always had His people everywhere, Just as Jesus once told Paul. Its only from the 16th century that believers were named "protestants". I am a former catholic now a believer in Jesus

Mainline Protestants can cope all they want but I would wager that their denominations will be virtually extinct within a century.
