@bsquared6987 The Bible say Catholicism will be destroyed. Keep dreaming!

I am Protestant. I protest Rome, its dogmas, its false teachings, its lies, and the doctrines I believe stand against the Bible, because they are a detriment to salvation.
I study Scripture day and night, literally, and I have for years. From very young, I had a love for the Word of God and a sensitivity to it. The Bible is not a hobby to me. It is my daily bread. I live in it, think through it, pray through it, and test everything by it.
God allowed me to be trained in law, graduate study, case analysis, and grounded research, and I am grateful to use those tools in service of truth. The slurs, my education, the insults, and the names I have been called for challenging Catholic ideology, is a waste of your time. It will not move me from my mission. Trust!
Despite its bloody past, Rome does not intimidate me, anymore than a butterfly does. Standing alone against twenty hostile voices a day. Even when it comes from a so called “father,” it still does not move me.
Cursing does not move me. Racism does not move me. Mocking does not move me and I am not moved by likes and thumbs up. With the Holy Spirit, I am not outnumbered.
This page is for scriptural discussion, Bible only. Bring Scripture or move on. I do not have time for foolishness. Personal attacks, race baiting, cursing, Ellen White deflections, and nasty replies will be blocked immediately. I have zero tolerance for immaturity. I am an adult, and I expect adults to know how to behave civilized.
I use the block button, liberally.

Why is communism such a boogeyman to people who are not millionaires and billionaires?
Jack V Lloyd@jackvlloyd
Stopping the spread of communism is always an admirable goal.

If Catholics who value the truth knew even 1/10th of the absolute HORRORS their Church and its leaders have done down through the centuries—they’d leave.
My encouragement to Catholics is the exact same encouragement I give to literally every single man and woman across the globe:
Read the Holy Bible for yourself—as in, ALL of it. Cover to cover. And read it again for yourself. And then again. And then again.
Read it.
Study it.
Research it.
Know it.
Understand it.
Believe it.
And easily most importantly, LIVE YOUR LIFE ACCORDING TO IT.
Do all that, and you will know what to do and who to associate with.
Do all that, and the Eternal Father will guide you in all good paths of TRUTH, WISDOM, and RIGHTEOUSNESS.
I can promise you that those good paths are not to be found in the Vatican or your Catholic cathedrals.
God bless you as you seek His face.
Shalom.

Hitler's plan to invade Britain was called Operation Sea Lion. On 17 September 1940, two days after big losses by the Luftwaffe, Hitler canceled Sea Lion. The reason recorded in Official German documents was the Luftwaffe's failure to defeat the RAF. In the US, Roosevelt read the reality instead of the bullshit he was getting from Joseph Kennedy, his US Ambassador, who had told him that Britain was a lost cause. Within 2 months, Roosevelt kicked him out. The Lend-Lease didn't start till the following year. So neither that nor the Red Army nor the US Marines had anything to do with Britain's surviving the NAZI invasion. The RAF did. Credit where it's due.

@David__Osland You’re historically illiterate if you don’t realize the red army was done if not for the U.S. lend lease program.

You can keep the cathedrals and stained glass. I'll take biblical authority and doctrinal purity any day.
Truth is not measured by architecture or aesthetics, but by the Word of God. A beautiful building means nothing if it drifts from Scripture.

@RonSCantor Jews alone began the early Church, not a Catholic in sight.
Jews were the first Christians.

Actually, without the Jewish people there would be no Bible. Even the New Testament was written by Jews, centuries before there was a pope.

If God is perfectly good, He would desire to save everyone. If He is all-powerful, He would be able to do so. If both are true, everyone would be saved. Since not everyone is saved, either God lacks power, lacks goodness, or does not exist. Choose wisely.

The Catholic Church teaches that Mary remained a virgin for the rest of her life, even after the birth of Jesus. However, when we turn to Scripture, we see that too is another falsehood coming from the Catholic Church.
Both Matthew and Mark plainly say that Jesus had brothers and sisters. Matthew writes, “Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?” [Matthew 13:55–56]. Mark says the same: “Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” [Mark 6:3].
Some try to explain this away by saying these were cousins, not actual brothers and sisters. But that explanation raises its own problem. The New Testament had words available for “cousin” and “relative.” For example, “cousin” appears in [Colossians 4:10], and “relative” appears in [Luke 1:36]. Yet Matthew and Mark did not use those words. They used the ordinary words for brothers and sisters.
The Gospels mention Jesus’ siblings more than once. Matthew refers to them again in [Matthew 12:46–50]. Luke mentions His brothers in [Acts 1:14]. Jesus Himself even made a distinction between His earthly family and His spiritual family in [Mark 3:32–35] and [Luke 8:19–21]. Paul also refers to “the Lord’s brother” in [Galatians 1:19]. Taken together, the natural reading is that Mary had other children after Jesus.
The idea of Mary’s perpetual virginity also runs into trouble in Matthew 1:24–25, which says Joseph “did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son” [Matthew 1:25]. In Scripture, “knew” is a common way of speaking about marital relations [Genesis 4:1]. And the word “till” naturally suggests that this abstinence lasted up to the birth of Jesus, not necessarily forever after. On top of that, Jesus is called her “firstborn,” which also fits naturally with the idea that other children followed.
While Catholic tradition teaches perpetual virginity, the plain reading of Scripture points in another direction. The Bible presents Mary as a virgin when Jesus was conceived, exactly as prophecy required, but it does not teach that she remained a virgin for life.
