Die hard Patriots fan here and my loyalties are up for grabs this Super Bowl because I think I have just about had enough of Bob Kraft. Looking forward to seeing Big Bunny and Green Day though!

@BruceHistorian Enjoying the work? I loved unearthing Lunsford Lane. What are you doing on a "critical edition" of a narrative?

Slightly surprised by this in a 1939 newspaper article by Clarence L. Pemberton: “To make an effort to write a history of Caswell [County, NC] without mentioning the negroes and the part played by them would be rank injustice.” No mention of Moses Roper, though.

What happened after Yorktown? My latest work, Securing Victory, 1781-1783 tells the story of the uncertain years after the famous "final" battle! Published by the @USArmyCMH for their 250th Anniversary Series . #AvailableNow

@DeaconSports Harris brought the energy, was playing great, and the team lost all momentum when he was pulled. Just boggles the mind.

Kinda shocked we haven’t seen more zone this season with our shooting. Flagg with a full shove, dunk, and hang on the rim was def a vibe killer

@thejackhopkins @mdt617749 How about not contributing to the homophobia by casting gay men, even though they may be assholes, as effeminate?

With so many gay Republican men out there, I’ll never understand the Republican Party’s position on LGTBQ rights.

@KRamach @rzhist I don't think any delegate thought these debates were to protect slavery. They were trying to make a workable government. Slavery was pretty secure in the states through positive and common law. It didn't need to be protected.

**Plantation Goods: A Material History of American Slavery** publishes 2 months from today! This NYC hardware dealer's ad appeared in the leading periodical for Southern slaveholders, who themselves often came north on annual purchasing trips for textiles and tools. 1/7
