@amandaknox And likely didn't have access to resources that could help them make good choices. Having their basic needs met and I include emotional needs in that.

Nearly all of them had been victims of crime before they’d ever committed crimes themselves. They were just people, imperfect and struggling, who’d made some bad choices but who often never had good choices to begin with.

If you were to ask my family to describe me, they’d likely say that I’m a nerd, that I like to dance and sing. They’d say that I'm kind, sometimes naive, and that I go dead possum when I’m scared. What they wouldn't say is: girl gone wild, drug addled femme fatale. And yet... /🧵

There should be a dedicated word to describe the sorrow of when you go to have a sip of tea only to discover it’s all gone, you’ve drank it all and didn’t even realise. What should that word be?

I am livid. I was getting ready to go on a coffee date with this girl I met on bumble. (Why are you on bumble, Larry? -- good question. Let me get back to you on that, while I delete the app.) A friend of mine calls me and asks why my photo is posted by this girl in a group called "Are we dating the same guy?" in a Louisville Facebook group. When I confront her, because, not only are we NOT "dating" -- we have not even MET, yet. She just brushes it off, like it's nothing. And responds with "because it's actually quite efficient." I immediately cancel our date and tell her to delete the post after telling everyone I canceled our date with her. Tell me I am in the wrong.
