my 'manic spending buddy' chrome extension just saved me from buying a $30 book I'm excited about but not gonna read anytime soon lol
Having to justify my Amazon purchases to a 'spending buddy' before I can add them to the cart is awesome for helping me actually *derive value* w/o spending, rather than spending money as tho the act itself generates value.
What's the explanation for endemic magnesium deficiency?
I started supplementing magnesium which almost solved my insomnia and anxiety, but now I'm dependent on it.
Why is this mineral so scarce with my normal ways of eating?
@protajack Quote i heard: “you have to love the model”. Like be very open-hearted with it and specific in your instructions. Examples, etc. this turns it from flat affect into more emotionally intelligent and investing in helping you
this may become outdated tomorrow but
i f'ing love claude
there's a level of intelligence that isn't just IQ-maxxing, and claude has it
i've hired it to be my panel of advisors and its advice is simply lovely and on-point. GPT could never
@protajack@Solarchitects there's a documented link between autism and joint hypermobility but the link to clicking is just my intuition that I haven't researched at all
If only 3% of the population could see a color, maybe ultraviolet or infrared, how long would it take for our current cultural set up take to discover / declare / allow it to be true?
@frideswyth If you take 100 pics which randomly include or don’t include the special color and show them to 1000 people who say they have the ability then there will be a high level of agreement between those that can actually see it and you will also easily identify the liars
@protajack Don’t forget you don’t know if they do, they just say they do, and most people don’t believe them, and when you do a large study of the population, the results are not statistically significant and yeah you don’t actually know how to measure it at first either
Everyone been talking about voice interface for AI. Do we really think we will just talk to phone around people? I can see use of voice when I am working in my apartment by myself but at work would people just speak around other people?
It's surprising how many days I can feel down thinking "I haven't 'made it' yet."
But today, doing push ups with my mom on my back as my grandma and sister laugh, a client sending a deposit while Im hiking through the woods and my dad poking his head into my work call to make "dad jokes", and working with a brilliant team who I have so much respect for...
I think it's too easy for anyone to feel like we haven't "made it."
But looking at where I am today, I am surrounded by loved ones, and thats the most important "somewhere" that anyone can make it to.
Now my evil plan is to convince all my family to move to live in the same city.
Ok, wait. This is actually really freaking weird. Very tight relationship between GMO corn and household spending on prescription drugs.
We need to look into this now. #MAHA
Will crypto collapse world governments?
If everyone starts using crypto and no one can tell who owns what wallet, then we can't track how much income someone makes.
How will governments survive without income tax?

Shoutout to @pcekerevac for asking me to send this post when it's done that encouraged me to finish it
This is is the sort of thing that gets a startup to disrupt the entire phone system in a decade.
Personally, I would sign up for an alternate system and permanently turn off my number, like cable, as long as there was some backwards compatibility.
Can’t get over the fact that the noble Marcus Aurelius’ begot the debauched Commodus.
Do you evaluate a parent’s character by how their child turned out?
