I’m building an AI agent for Google Business Profile. Since 2024, over 10,000 businesses have bought a QR code from me to help them get reviews on Google. Soon, they’ll be able to run their shop’s entire online presence from their phone. These are salons, auto dealers, restaurants, legal and medical services—anything you’d search for on Google Maps. But there’s a big problem: activation. I learned the hard way that these aren’t typical SaaS customers. They’re busy with day-to-day operations and are exceptionally averse to being contacted. Last month, I asked my top 100 customers if they would share a few tips with their fellow business owners on how to get reviews effectively. Not a single one responded to my email. There’s hope, however. When someone buys a QR code from me, they first link it to their business by scanning it. That’s the one moment I get to capture their attention. Hopefully enough trust has been built at this point for them to opt into text notifications. If they do subscribe, their world changes forever. It doesn’t matter whether or not they know what an AI agent is— it will just start working for them. Everything happens via SMS, a format they’re familiar with. They get alerted when they receive negative reviews, reminders to update their holiday hours, and suggestions to fill in missing information on their GBP. The complexity and burden of managing their GBP is reduced down to a few short text messages. I’ve been building this solo for almost 2 years now and it’s been quite the journey. Surprisingly, much of the difficulty of being an entrepreneur has nothing to do with business. It’s about managing yourself, your emotions, your mindset, your physical health. It’s about having no one who can relate to you. As an entrepreneur I have so much respect for my fellow business owners. It’s a labor of love and only those who are in it truly understand. That’s what lights me up about ProsperQR! These are hair stylists, mechanics, and lawyers. They don’t have time for marketing, they just want to cut hair and fix cars. If I successfully get this GBP agent into the hands of these business owners they will be freed to focus on their craft— not SEO, not PPC, only what they’re best at and truly enjoy. And as a fellow craftsman, that makes me happy.

Boring Local SEO

My client fired me after 45 days Said local SEO was a scam I begged him for 2 more weeks He said fine, but this is your last chance Here's what happened next: Day 1 after the "last chance" conversation: I stopped everything I was doing No more blog posts No more backlinks No more "strategy calls" I opened a Google Sheet and did something simple: Searched his business name across 30 directories Maid Brigade was spelled "Made Brigade" on Yelp Phone number had a typo on Yellow Pages Address said "Street" on some, "St" on others His entire NAP (name, address, phone) was a mess Google literally didn't know if these were the same business Day 3: Fixed every single inconsistency Made sure NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE matched exactly across 94 citations Even the Suite number format Day 8: Rankings started moving #12#8#5 Day 14: He called me Voice shaking Said his phone rang 6 times that morning All qualified leads Week 4: Sitting at #2 in the Map Pack $14K in closed jobs that month He doubled my retainer without me asking The lesson? Local SEO isn't about doing MORE It's about fixing what's BROKEN Most businesses have: → 40+ citation inconsistencies they don't know about → NAP variations confusing Google's algorithm → Directories with old addresses from 2 years ago You don't need a blog You don't need fancy link building You need CLEAN DATA Google trusts businesses it can verify If your info is different everywhere, you're unverifiable That client almost fired me because I was doing what everyone else does When I focused on the boring fundamentals, everything changed Check your citations today I guarantee you'll find 10+ errors By the way, we built a step-by-step VSL Launch Kit to help you create videos that actually sell. Comment “LOCALRANK” + bookmark this post and we’ll DM it to you for free (must be following).

I checked more than 40 home service keywords last week. And I found one clear pattern. Google AI Overview is using the same few sites again and again for its citations. If your business is listed on those sites, you’ll get a small boost over your competitors. Right now, very few people know this. If you start early, you’ll get better results later. Want the list and full guide? Comment Hi and I’ll DM you.

@AdvisorJohn Its not worse then gemini but far behind grok and claude. Useless for coding. It does a good job at ass licking its users and people like fake affirmation

I find this interesting. Every single person I talk to says that when they use AI they use ChatGPT. I never hear Gemini. I rarely hear Grok, many have never heard of Claude. When I use ChatGPT, it is very clearly the absolute worst of the four. How did they become the go-to?

btw, ranking number 1 on google shopping has let me run shopping campaigns up to $100k/month it's the most stable revenue out of all the marketing channels I have worked on no ai no creative not even a landing page (you can run to the pdp😮) all you need is a spreadsheet however, most people are too lazy to do the boring work in the backend i've just finished writing a guide that shows you how I rank number 1 in any niche on google shopping it takes you through - backend feed optimisation - keyword research and how to structure titles - how to scale the shopping campaign once you've optimised the back end it's a lengthy explanation, so i've put it into a doc reply 'SHOPPING' and i'll ping it over to your dm as usual you gotta be following so I can send

Humans also hallucinate. A friend asked his assistant to personally email their top 100 users with a provided template. The assistant modified the template, and sent a giant bcc instead of individual emails. We’re past an inflection point — AI outperforms humans on some tasks.

Spent 12 hours analyzing AG1's entire landing page funnel. They're generating massive revenue for a reason. Four different landing pages targeting different awareness levels. Each one is conversion gold. Got the complete breakdown with editable Figma files so you can duplicate their structure. Comment "AG1" for the analysis.

I don’t really know anyone who is a “digital nomad” anymore. It’s something more like “locationmaxxing”. Finding a place where: - cost of living is affordable - enjoyable lifestyle - people you are attracted to (& vice versa) - agreeable political / religious climate - long term visa options - access to city / airport - etc Nowhere checks all the boxes and the priority is different for everyone. But if you’re indie or working remotely you get to pick a place that hopefully checks as many of the important ones as possible. I don’t really know anyone who is hopping country to country on a monthly basis anymore. I used to do that 7 years ago, and now it sounds exhausting!
