Some of the defense specifically for AI's utility is weird: "this tool is great! Sure, it may give you inaccurate answers, but you just have to make sure to ask the question in exactly the right way, and not do these other things!" Not a very intuitive tool, if you ask me.

Don't get me wrong, it's great at helping with troubleshooting and similar things (I would prefer not to use AI but feel like I must due to aforementioned time pressures), and I sure hope it's worth its environmental impact, but some people outsource too much thinking to it.

A co-worker is cranking out code much faster... but only because he heavily uses AI when developing.
Meanwhile, the code is needlessly complicated and over-engineered for what it does, and I feel it's just adding more technical debt. 😩

Politically, everything still sucks right now, but I'm surprised that not even into the second year of Trump's second term, other Republicans are FINALLY treating him like a liability and distancing themselves from him.

And what was I like in the 2000s? Still a dumb teen, mostly conservative, but slowly learning and waking up to things in the world, and enjoying how far video games had already come for consumers.
And the 2010s? Unaware that young adulthood was pretty nice and carefree. 😭

It feels so surreal to see younger people get nostalgic for the 90s and 2000s, which didn't feel like "times" to me; we were just living!
So what was I like in the 90s?
I was just a dumb, ugly kid, blissfully unaware of the world, but enjoying my cartoons and video games.

Nobody thinks this. They think making woman use their birth certificates will make voting harder especially for the 70 million women whose last names don’t match the birth certificate anymore. Right wingers know this and so have to frame it in lies like this
