@oregonducksmama Very true. I go to Portland about 6-8 times a year. On the bright side, it gets better each year. On the downside, it is definitely deserted, there is open drug use in every part of it, and people are skittish just being there.

100% accurate. Portland Oregon is a zombie ghost town. 😵‍💫🫠😏 No one we know goes downtown anymore unless they have to and we all live just minutes away. SMH.

@drshannonkroner @springsteen @POTUS He talks 3 or 4 times during a ~3 hour show. I saw him, disagreed with his politics and had a great night. Your friend seems thin skinned.

@shoveitjack I saw him on opening night in Portland. The show was amazing, 19 musicians! I don’t agree with his politics but I just reversed the subject in my head to democrats when he talked. Worked amazingly well. Would see him again in a heartbeat. We are all entitled to our opinions.

Understand what this is. Bruce Springsteen is completely irrelevant to the Hollywood and music press in 2026. They could not care less about him or the fact that he is on tour. Now, the reasons for that are multiple, some good, some bad, but that's a topic for another time. But the fact remains that he is irrelevant. So, how does a geriatric has-been generate interest from the press in his tour so that he can charge people $3000 a ticket to see him? Simple. Make the focus of the tour not Springsteen's music, which has not been interesting to anyone in decades. Just make the entire focal point of the tour the Bad Orange Man. Is anyone in the press writing about Springsteen's new album coming out this year? Is anyone writing about how "he hasn't lost it" or that his new tour "hearkens back to his heyday of Thunder Road and Badlands"? Is anyone writing about the quality of the shows and songs themselves (or perhaps the lack thereof)? Nope. They write about one thing, the ONLY thing about Springsteen that can generate any interest from the mainstream press in 2026. Because that is the only way that Bruce Springsteen can pretend he is relevant in America anymore. He gets the attention he craves. His promoters get to charge astronomical prices for the tour. Everyone is happy. The Rolling Stones can still tour and generate fan and media interest in their music and shows -- even at their ripe old age -- because that's just how incredibly good they are. The "Boss" can't do that. He can only generate interest by turning the attention AWAY from himself. It's sad, yes. Springsteen should probably listen to his 42-year-old song Glory Days to understand just exactly how sad it is. He's become what he used to lament.
The Hollywood Reporter@THR

Bruce Springsteen opens the first night of the Los Angeles leg of his tour by slamming President Donald Trump. "The America I've wrote about for 50 years, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty around the world, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless and treasonous administration."

First and foremost, this is the American Gardens Pavillion at Epcot, not some random city park. Disney pays these legacy acts serious money to come and perform. Band makes money, everyone has fun.

Man interviews White liberals about reparations for Black people and they think Black people deserve over $1,500 a month in reparations. Then he asks them to give money to the next Black person walking by and they all decline. Liberals love giving out money as long as it’s not their own.

Ozempic looks like a miracle… until it isn’t. Bill Maher asked Jillian Michaels the question a lot of people are quietly wondering: if these weight-loss drugs are so great, why isn’t anyone talking about the downsides? Her answer was direct and data-heavy. About 50% of users feel great at first with no side effects. Then comes the inevitable plateau. Stopping the drug almost always leads to regaining most or all of the weight — often with a brutal rebound effect. She also highlighted more serious risks like stomach paralysis, intestinal blockage, pancreatitis, and kidney issues. Meanwhile, the weight-loss drug industry is growing at a 9% compound annual rate, and many doctors stay quiet because of grant money and industry influence. It’s a raw conversation that cuts through the hype. What do you think — is the Ozempic boom being oversold, or are the benefits worth the risks and lifelong commitment?

As a footnote to Physical Graffiti, I thought you might like to hear the original home demo, recorded in my studio at Plumpton Place of a piece of music that was going to surface as 10 Years Gone. I presented this rough mix to the band at Headley Grange in order to do this for real. Robert Plant came up with some lyrics for my music that were extraordinary and then we arrive at the song 10 Years Gone. youtu.be/2o-SBDC8v0g

I was given the great honor of voting for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by my old friend @tmorello and I’m using it to vote for Melissa Etheridge. I encourage any other voting members to do the same. This woman deserves to be in the Hall of Fame for a multitude of reasons. While working with her on her forthcoming album Rise, I was shown a level of professionalism and creative freedom that blew my mind. It was clear that she was the “Mighty Melissa Etheridge”, an incredible musician, a killer 12-string player, and a kind, deep and adventurous songwriter. She loves rock and roll music and loves guitars more than anyone I know. She has a collection bigger than anything I’ve witnessed (she has a 12-string Dobro!!!) and she plays a 12-string on a level only the heroes that came before could match. She became a close friend through this process and @DollyCakes78 and I are better for it. Let’s get her in!!!
Melissa Etheridge@metheridge

Melissa Etheridge is a @rockhall 2026 nominee! 🎶 Melissa Etheridge delivers unfiltered truth through confessional lyrics and a smoky, powerhouse voice — songs like "Bring Me Some Water," "Come to My Window," and "I'm the Only One" radiate desire, pain, and resilience with fearless clarity. When she came out publicly in 1993, she didn't just make headlines — she reshaped what rock & roll could look like and who it could belong to. The 2026 Fan Vote is now open! Share your ballot, spread the word, and vote daily at vote.rockhall.com #RockHall2026
