@hz8826 @Stacks @JudeCNelson one could argue the miner code is way too conservative in estimating execution costs, and hopefully the recalibration in 2.1 will allow a lot more transactions in each block

@Stacks qutoe from @JudeCNelson * the mock-miner takes about 35 seconds to build a block * it considers over 4400 transactions, but only accepts 30. This is because it runs out of block space * the *punks smart contracts seem to be the culprit

@TO long read, but such a good exposé of what makes Stacks and Clarity so compelling. love the idea of triggering Clarity contracts from BTC transactions, not implemented today, but would open up even more use cases...

Which world would you rather live in: Today's world, or a world where all computers are sold as kits using 1980's tech, but most people have end-to-end knowledge of how to assemble, program, and repair them?

@RobZuazua @fmdroid @paramyonzon @muneeb @dantrevino correct, theoretically. practically: - exchanges have enough information on you to prosecute you in the real world for large withdrawals - maybe they already do, but for large deposits, increasing the number of confirmations is easy to implement and makes it too costly to reorg

@fmdroid @paramyonzon @muneeb @psq @dantrevino If I consistently commit $2k in BTC and gain >51% mining power, can't i then double spend? Reorging stacks chain is one attack vector that I understand is very secure. Controlling the mining power and double spending is another attack vector that seems less secure, right?

@muneeb why would a bitcoiner trust that the STX chain is secure? Sure the chain is settled on bitcoin, but a 51% hashpower attack would seemingly only cost ~$2k in BTC / block.

@RobZuazua @muneeb then what? you would still not be able to move funds from addresses you don't own for example ... and you won't be solvent long enough to keep everyone out anyway, so we might as well hang out and enjoy your ride

@leopradel @artifix_io mocknet or mainnet only at this point. testnet hasn't seemed healthy enough lately. I will try to deploy the contract and just one data update, just so it can be available there as well, but if someone wants updates, they'd have to send it themselves (there are scripts)

I'm cooking up some pretty awesome stuff on Stacks. First up is a dev tool for code generation of a TypeScript interface to any contract
