@7NewsPerth @AstraZeneca Breaking News..... 77 million shots administered in the UK and less than 60 adverse reactions..... 128,000 deaths from Covid. We haven't done much right during this pandemic but we have proved the vaccine works. Rising cases but hospitalisation still low.

@stephenmathersm @perthnow 77 million vaccines administered in the UK & less than 50 reported cases of blood clots last time I looked. It's an easier decision here - we all know someone who has been really sick, lost loved ones or has long Covid. You don't have that context so media message so important

@perthnow The Australian Media has played a very negative role in coverage of Covid Vaccine. All those Anti Vax AstraZeneca scare mongering stories pushed by much of Australian media. Will Australian media be held accountable for their role in vaccination hesitancy?

It’s broken isn’t it ? We’ve broken what we do with food . Pears grow in the U.K. They could grow in our gardens . We could walk out and pick them , wipe them and eat them . No chemicals , no processing , no plastic , no planes , no sell by dates . Just fresh fruit . God help us

@Leytonrocks @SamanthaHorley I didn't either, but do live in an area where you can only get a mobile signal if you hang out the bedroom window. Looks like that isn't such a bad thing after all.

On the tube. Just got my first cyber flash as I’d neglected to turn my Bluetooth off. Jesus Fucking Christ. Do I report this to police? Will they actually do anything even though it’s illegal?

@suebeesley @The_RHS Shocked to find out many kids/parents just log a negative test but don't actually bother testing for school..... so sure many attendees will do the same. Waste of time and all that plastic in landfill.... and the cost of the test lots....????

I've carefully read the @The_RHS testing policy re visitors to #RHSHamptonCourt. You must take an LFT before visiting. You must then register this on the NHS app and await email confirmation. Knowing the lack of tech savviness of the typical visitor I fear this may be optimistic.

@wildfullmoon @higgledygarden It is and I totally understand not risking it. I think it was worse for my husband than me. He drove me as I have a history of strange allergies.... just got back to the car as the world went fuzzy.... 💉 poor man 💖

@wildfullmoon @higgledygarden I had an allergic reaction to the 1st. Had 2 nurses with me for the 2nd, and was observed for 20 mins. Was expecting the worst but was fine.

Apparently 9 out of 10 kids don't eat enough vegetables (shocker). Any top tips on getting them to eat more for tonight's @ITVCentral?

@Nigella_Lawson W and all the parents I know at school test twice a week. Shocking comment from a friend "nobody bothers, just report a negative test'. So glad our small rural school has much greater sense of community and responsibility.

us of the overwhelming evidence of the spread of covid through school attendance is still being ignored.)I know you think you’ve had enough of it all, but I really don’t think you can afford not to read this. Cliché though it is, I couldn’t put it down.

Thread You just have to read this! It’s all the things Michael Lewis (author of The Big Short et al) does brilliantly: tell a true story that reads as grippingly as a thriller; makes the characters in it as real as people you know; brings clarity to a subject too often cloaked

@BeepBopBlah @BreLaurie @perthnow Mostly AZ and Pfizer but the younger age groups are also getting Moderna now. A good friend was on the J&J trial..... but that one isn't in use as far as I know.

@BreLaurie @BeepBopBlah @perthnow 36+ million vaccinated in the UK and 41 blood clots reported last time I checked. Easy decision here when there is so much virus in the community.

All these pretty #NoMowMay pics are getting me down. My lawn, unmown since Feb and never fertilised, just looks like a bad lockdown haircut with a couple of dandelions.

Back out on the road for @C4Locations and reminded again that 50 shades of grey might be sexy, but it does not flatter a house. If you have to do it please keep it pale, pale, pale; it makes spaces feel smaller and darker, grey is gloomy ☁️

Today's Sunday chicken - in a tarragon crème fraîche sauce, with a load of English asparagus, because it's the law that you have to eat it every day right now. I don't make the rules.

@SamanthaHorley A good friend has spent a decade dealing with more than I think I could bare. She cared very much, was outspoken... but ditching her TV, not seeking out news and not 'caring' anymore has resulted in her being happier and finally content. Sometimes people just run out of energy.

Every black or brown person I know is politically outspoken. Most women I know are politically outspoken. Some white men I know are politically outspoken. I’m so tired of people who just don’t care.
