Two and a half years ago, my best friend abruptly dumped me for objecting to a TiM in our open locker room at the pool. It broke my heart. Today, she sent me an email saying she misses me and wants to meet up to talk. I'm still hurt at being treated like an opinion made me disposable, but honestly, I miss her, too. This has me reeling, and I don't know how to respond.

So about 15 years ago I attended the breast screening clinic as I had a lump that had appeared in my chest. It turned out to be benign breast tissue growth (gyno) and nothing serious. Weird how I, a cis man, was able to attend this kind of service, but trans women now can't.

I came home from Canterbury on the bus yesterday. A trans woman boarded the bus. She looked beautiful. There was only one free seat facing the rest of the passengers. I just thought, what courage does that take? Love and solidarity with the trans community.

@bortinez_ There is a clause in the Supreme Court ruling that excludes women such as yourself from using the women’s also. I guess that’s your choice - use them and find out you don’t pass… or find out you pass and get arrested.

Biology & gender identity are 2 different realities. BOTH are valid Trans men & women are not the same as cisgender men & women. They are different but equally valid Trans people can be proud they are unique & special The right to be different is a fundamental human right

I didn’t have dysphoria when I decided to transition. I lived happily as a man for 31 years. All it took was realizing that I’d be happier as a woman. And boy was I right. You don’t need to have dysphoria to be trans.

Why do you care about this trans bullshit so much Matt? Well my daughter who has battled with mental illness all her life decided while at university that she was not a woman but a man and the mental health community (and the queer trans activists) fell over themselves to affirm this illness. As far as I can see though she is not a man, nor is she any happier, nor is she any better. On the upside though she doesn’t have to worry about breast cancer any more.
