@jaCattell Thanks James, I'm happy you found it insightful. And yes that is indeed the Eboo Patel who I quoted.

"Hello opa, it's amazing to finally meet you." said Laura while taking his hand to start his final journey. Finally free of pain, they can now enjoy their time together. I'll miss you dad, please take care of our little girl.

@filrakowski No single metric would work, you'll need a combination of at least 3: Time to first successful usage (often a simple sample app), Time to first Production usage (an actual real world implementation), and number of total production apps (is it more than 1 per dev?).

Another AMAZING Atlassian State of Teams event in the books, this time with the Atlassian Belgium Community in Gent! We had some great conversation and fun exploring what makes a LEGENDARY team (especially with the Pirate Ship game 🏴‍☠️). Thank you…lnkd.in/eu2XKurb

@Jira Share your worst (professional) failure (going from most senior person in the room to most junior), a great way to show vulnerability and create psychological safety.

@DavidSpinks I 100% agree with this. I always tell people that it's not because they ask for a ferrari to get around town that a bike couldn't do the job just as well. It's indeed the job of the community manager to make this distinction.

@pvdevoor 100% it's still built on member discovery but it's your job as a community builder to interpret what they share, not just do what they tell you

Build the community you believe people need, not what they tell you they want. Most people don’t know the community they need until they experience it.
