@straczynski Re-reading the legendary Morlun arc! The way you and JRJR conveyed pure exhaustion and stakes was terrifying. Your 2001 era is the definitive Spider-Man run for me but I truly wish we had you back as the permanent, full-time writer for the main book!

@DonalTDeLay But they do tkae into consideration sound effects and are usually huge part of the composition. I sometimes have problems with official translations because they change the sound effects and imo they don't look as good

It’s interesting to me that in western comics we focus on making sure the word balloons are part of the composition & don’t cover important parts of the art.
Where manga looks like it couldn’t give two shits. Like the art & composition are afterthoughts to the balloons.

@patrick_gleason I get your point but it's ridiculous to me to put say 20 names on a cover. Not to mention you could say the same for colourists and inkers, it could get out of hand

It shouldn’t have to be said, but yeah, if a company sees value in selling a book with cover artwork and not just text, then credit the artist(s) of the interior as well. Multiple artists don’t downgrade or deserve less credit either, ‘less famous’ artists are building a rep too.
