Update for those caring: it went well ^^
The issue now is that they told their kids I called Santa back, asking him to double-check his bag for their present. They explained that he found this brand new Xbox meant for them, but the box was upside down, so he missed the address.
Now, these kids think I've got Santa's number or something! XD

On Xmas, I had a couple of friends and their kids over for lunch. During our chat, one of them accidentally mentioned not having enough money for gifts for her kids, then quickly changed it to not having time. Her kids had a blast playing with my Xbox Series X, and it made me feel a bit guilty. That Xbox has just been collecting dust since I bought it, while they didn't even have one. So, I thought of getting them a belated Xbox mas present. Being super socially awkward and clueless about how these things work, a friend warned me it might embarrass their parents to accept a gift like that. I really hope they don't get upset with me. My plan is to give the Xbox to the parents to let them present it to their kids. Also bought an Xbox game pass with it so they don’t need to get the games for a while XD

@SonyUKTEC My Sony WF1000XM4s aren’t very sustainable. They have never lasted more than two hours and now only last 40 mins. Just over a year old, so no warranty either. I guess I just have to bin them. 🤷♂️

Excellent way to frame the question.
I think the truth is they have what they believe to be a rigorous process, but at the first sign of trouble Coinbase became extremely wimpy and chose to cower in the corner rather than stand their ground.

If your process is so rigorous why did you list then delist XRP. One decision must be wrong. Either your rigorous process failed and you listed a “security” or you cynically delisted a crypto you knew was not a security to appease the SEC. Which one is it? /1
