During the months leading up to the June 1st presidential run-off in Poland, the government in Warsaw repeatedly warned of Russian disinformation and interference. But as the dust settled after the vote, a different picture began to emerge. Did Poland really face the threat?

💡 Poland’s response - the "Electoral Umbrella" - has so far been effective but limited. As one expert put it, “let’s say it’s an umbrella for this kind of drizzle that we’ve been experiencing for now. We’ll see how it does if it starts coming down in buckets.”

💡 Attribution of disinformation efforts remains difficult and politically sensitive. While authorities claim Russian or Belarusian involvement in various cyber attacks, they provide limited public evidence.
