Incredibly exciting times at our 3-day Hyperon AGI workshop here in Istanbul btw .... We have a couple different variants of fast MeTTa language compiler working now ... as of quite recently ... and so whereas previous Hyperon meetups were largely theory oriented this one is quite hands-on ... more like "hmm now let's see what we can do with these tools now that they really work, let's figure out the best paths to scaling up all the proto-AGI code we've been prototyping for years..." .... Symbolic and evolutionary AI finally have an elegant, flexible, scalable infrastructure !!! And there is more to come. What we have now to use are scalable versions of a MeTTa compiler (leveraging SWI-Prolog and our MORK metagraph database) and MM2 which is a lower-level language working directly against MORK ... we also saw quite strong working demonstrations of a compilation pipeline from MeTTa into smart contracts running on MeTTaCycle/ASI-chain alpha version, and Distributed Atomspace (DAS) which allows Atomspaces (stored using MORK and other methods) to live on clusters spanning multiple machines... DAS will be in 1.0 version next month, the ASI-chain MeTTa compiler will be in a fully usable beta by the end of the year and 1.0 early next year... It feels we are moving into a new phase where non-neural-net AI and neural-symbolic AI can be developed at the speed we have seen with neural net AI in recent years. Metagraph operations can now be carried out with the speed and simplicity that has been the case in recent years for floating-point vector and matrix operations. There is a lot more work to do but things really are accelerating... And what a pleasure to be experiencing and effecting this acceleration with such a visionary, brilliant and good-hearted international team... @OpenCog @SingularityNET @ASI_Alliance @True_AGI
