In July 2025, on her farm near Van Wyksdorp in the Klein Karoo, 79-year-old artist and equestrian Valerie Enzer was brutally assaulted, raped, and murdered.
Her body was discovered on her porch by a farm worker.
A 17-year-old (16 at the time of the attack) from Van Wyksdorp has been arrested and charged.
