@the_transit_guy Interestingly, there are two indoor malls in this picture. Both are doing extremely well.

@Augustine8 @LawdogTrev @LouisvilleMayor @LouisvilleBats @EconDevLou @Downtown_Lou @diamondbaseball I believe this map shows PUBLIC parking. The map I posted is accurate if you crosscheck it with satellite imagery.
English

@quickerrecall @LawdogTrev @LouisvilleMayor @LouisvilleBats @EconDevLou @Downtown_Lou @diamondbaseball Picture looks like alot of parking but less than 20k spots in total. Downtown is cooked until it’s addressed

What’s now a parking lot outside of Slugger Field will become a year-round hub of energy, connection, and opportunity helping drive the vibrancy of downtown Louisville and creating new economic momentum for our community.
Thank you to Diamond Baseball Holdings and Machete Group for their incredible investment in Louisville and belief in our city’s future.

English

@quickerrecall @LouisvilleMayor @LouisvilleBats @EconDevLou @Downtown_Lou @diamondbaseball My main point is building all of that unneeded garbage when that specific area will now need the parking when the real money needs to be spent on making downtown safe and affordable
English

@LawdogTrev @LouisvilleMayor @LouisvilleBats @EconDevLou @Downtown_Lou @diamondbaseball Just so you're aware, downtown has far too much parking as it is.

English

@LouisvilleMayor @LouisvilleBats @EconDevLou @Downtown_Lou @diamondbaseball Take away parking from slugger field, and use the space to build a “year round hub of energy” that will… guess what…. Need parking 🤓

@Femgirl_Fishing that sunfish is BEAUTIFUL! don't think i've ever seen one that big

@Super70sSports I've been to Wrigley twice for a weekend Series against the Reds in 1995.
Was able to purchase this seat from L.A. for $19.
Today, that might get you a beer and a couple of peanuts.

@DYTRDR1 @dessyfreakaz @RAILMag Also, we had the capability to operate much larger helicopters to/from JFK that wouldn't require such a high traffic volume. The Pan Am building heliport had an accident that killed 4 people, so they closed it. Also note that the heliport was deeply unpopular and lost money.
English

@dessyfreakaz @quickerrecall @RAILMag If it's your City, I guess my advice is catch up with the FAA's plans.
English

This is only “traffic-free travel” until any moderate use of these things occurs. Than it will be the most complicated and dangerous kind of traffic you can possibly imagine.‼️⚠️⛔️
Science girl@sciencegirl
I’m NYC just saw its first electric air taxi flight. Joby Aviation flew from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Downtown Manhattan in 7 minutes, quiet, zero emissions, and a glimpse of traffic-free travel.
English

@DYTRDR1 @dessyfreakaz @RAILMag Explain to me how the physical barrier between taxis and subways (the ground) translates to the sky, especially if you use these for their only possible use case of airport transportation.
English

@dessyfreakaz @RAILMag @quickerrecall 1.) weather is an issue for any flying vehicle. 2.) this is where you need to read up on Joby’s plans. They won’t share airspace with planes any more than a taxi shares space with a subway. Separate lanes. Seriously just look into the plans and the tech.

@DYTRDR1 @dessyfreakaz @RAILMag Mid-air collisions. Imagine 30 of these (so ~120 people or 2 subway cars worth max) all trying to land at the same time in the same place.

@googleearth Will shapefiles be coming to Google Earth Pro? And will we finally get the ability to enable mouse navigation while editing a KML file?
English

Today, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of Shapefile and 3D model import support on Google Earth. Plus, we’ve also added elevation profiles to the measure tool just for… good measure! goo.gle/4w1MPC0
You’ve made it clear. You want to be able to bring more of your data and models to Google Earth’s real-world canvas. We're excited to take the next step in delivering on that promise with these new features:
🔶 Shapefiles (SHP): Render industry-standard geospatial data as performant, cloud-native layers.
💡 3D Models (GLB): Place custom architectural mock-ups, massings, and more in a visually rich context.
🗻 Elevation Profiles: View detailed terrain data in the measure tool you already know and love.
These new features are live now on Google Earth!

@MLBcathedrals Also, if it is across the river from The 78, then they need to put in a pedestrian bridge across the river to connect to any kind of neighborhood. There's nothing over there but railyards + parking lots.
English

Closer to 35k with room for a couple thousand standing room and/or temporary seat options. We deleted a lot of rows underneath the upper deck so everyone could see the scoreboards and track fly balls.
Jason Rapp@rapptor33
@architecturejks @MLBcathedrals @Travis_Sawchik Don't overthink it, White Sox. This is exceptional! Capacity estimate? Looks to be the 38,000-43,000 neighborhood?
