I remember in high school I was given an assignment where I had to create something useful by #upcycling items that were deemed useless...
I made a cutlery holder out of old tin cans similar to this! This concept is something I’ll definitely incorporate into class activities!

@rachelfahey7 I can't remember an assignment specifically, but there is a funky cafe in my home town that has up-cycled most of their decorations! Even just using an old milk crate and a cushion for a chair!

I think it would be a beneficial idea to go through supermarket catalogues with students and identify the most #sustainable choices! It could even be done alongside a Math's lesson discussing prices!! Give them the knowledge they need to better our future! #sgd12 #UoNTeach

@rachelfahey7 @TheGlobalGoals I come a farming background & my mum is constantly learning new things about the soil and how important it is to protect what's underneath - she reminds me that we need to leave the property better than it was when we got it! This is her way of educating me (the younger person).
