@Speaks_Div i think ppl call themselves a cinephile or movie reviewer just to look cool. i also do the same, if i like a movie, i tell others to watch, if i dont, i say dont watch it should be more of - yes i like movies and I enjoy them, the tag brings burden

Random Thought: I find it peaceful not calling myself a Cinephile, a Movie Reviewer, or a Critic. It's just easy to enjoy your favourite movies when you aren't under any obligation of building your letterboxd or writing the most "authentic, honest, relatable" review. You don't have to satisfy anyone, you don't have to please anyone. Especially since modern social media is only filled with 2 kinds of crowds: Pseudo-Intellectuals & Hero worshippers. Both Engagement-baiting for one reason or the other. I, on the other hand, can just walk into a theater, enjoy or dislike a movie for what it has to offer & walk out like anything. The biggest privilege.

A guy sitting below me during THE ODYSSEY IMAX 70mm was on his phone watching IG stories, full brightness. I usually avoid confrontation but not tonight. Tapped his shoulder and said “turn off your phone.” Instantly the power of the Gods compelled him and he kept that shit OFF.

Finally it’s here. DCP of #TheOdyssey arrived. Important Note (as I might not reply in comments) Hindi version in Dolby Cinema and in standard screens is still awaited. While Dolby Cinema sound says 7.1 IAB, internally it’s 5.1 only. Subtitles are available everywhere. HDR DCP is not available so far. File sizes for other DCPs are not confirmed yet.
