This is very interesting: the p2p Git network @radicle stores "collaborative objects", e.g. issues, as _commits_, and not, as you would expect, as files. (DAGs of commits targetting a unique root commit apparently; essentially each issue is a CRDT that changes as new commits are made to it). #collaborative-objects" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">radicle.xyz/guides/protoco…

Open source needs open infrastructure. 🛠️ Fintan Halpenny of @radicle builds peer-to-peer tools that let developers collaborate without centralized platforms. Hear from him at FtC Buenos Aires on November 19.

For all who dare to challenge the powers that be, there will always be a need for private spaces to collaborate. When gatekeepers control the platforms, true dissent requires its own infrastructure. Local-first, peer-to-peer, private—this is the way forward.

hey @github can you help me understand why my account was suspended without any notice? this is extremely disheartening! 💔 I'm funded by @Vinteum_org to do Bitcoin FOSS on the @StratumV2 project, so my github account is primordial for my livelihood.

in the future, anonymous open source contributions will be a legend whispered around digital campfires... "They say a lone dev once fixed a bug... without showing their passport."
