@ananthe2 💯 agree. I like the term “less invasive”. When going through options with patients I think it is better for comparison. Just like the example of open lami versus fusion.

I think those of us in spine surgery need to consider the term "minimally invasive" to be a philosophy and not a set of techniques. For example, an open laminectomy is less invasive than a 3 level MIS TLIF.
