For the first time in 12 years, my political belief/ideology/opinion is in the minority. Every single friend, relative, or person I know is supporting the CJP.
Every singer, writer, painter, dancer and actor I follow on Instagram is on their side.
Because they are convinced that the movement is about students and the association of left-wing activists or AAP/ Congress politicians is irrelevant to them.
This is what happens when genuine grievances of people are not addressed directly/ timely.
It gives opportunity to political predators and agenda-driven activists to hijack a protest and co-opt narratives.
To the credit of the Cockroach Janta Party, they succeeded in doing this both on the ground and on social media.
It may have little to no political outcome in 2029, but for now, my core political ideology has few to no takers.

Btw many instances in medieval India which are often presented as cases of Hindu Muslim syncretism (Allohpanishad, some temple legends etc) were product of similar situations. Hindus recreated image of Hinduism to suit the Islamic views in order to survive.

No they do not. In 1952 Islamists took control of ministry of religion in Indonesia and declared Balinese Hindus “people without religion” because it didn’t fit with definition of religion per Islamic view. Very existence of Hinduism in Bali was threatened. At that time some Hindu Shastris from India helped them to standardized Balinese Hinduism on Agamic principles and then Indian diplomats pursued Indonesian government to recognize it.

Ignore the naysayers. The film is a visual and cinematic spectacle.Never a dull moment across its nearly 3 hr runtime. The entire controversy over the caste issue feels overblown esp since the actors at the center of it barely have any screen time.
A must watch.

@KshatriyaItihas They have changed philosophical aspects too the make it suitable too present woke narrative... imagine showing Lakshman ji to be in guilt for cutting the nose of suparnakha..also though lesser screen but it does alter mythology/history and culture of that (1/2)

Usual misinformation spewing project going on. What he presents as "Hindu art" is pahari miniature art sponsored by Mughals where Islamic elements are used even for Hindu depictions, such as the Jinn style appearance of the Asura. And he presents "Indian Muslim art".
The Indian was key there because this is traditional Islamic art and the corresponding traditional exegesis.
As to how Hindus depicted the earth in the pre-Islamic era, just reading Surya Siddhanta is enough.

Hinduism has everything to do with Vedic faith
I recite Gayatri Mantra from Rig Veda, which my ancestors used to recite 3000 years ago during Vedic age.
There is straight unbroken continuity between Hinduism of today & the Vedic faith of 1500-500 BC.

Hinduism has little to do with the Vedic faith. But if you insist on using the Vedas to establish the antiquity of your faith, then the same standard should be applied to Islam. The Muslim faith is too a continuation of Abrahamic tradition, whose archaeological evidence (Soleb Inscription; c. 1400 BCE) is older than any physical evidence of the Vedic elements. The Soleb Inscription predates Rama's earliest mention by 1,600 years.

Some segments from media have mentioned sporadic use of violence/detentions at Jantar Mantar by Delhi Police.
It is informed that no such incident has taken place and protest is being handled professionally. All are requested not to fall pray to any rumour/ misgivings, and, to assist Delhi Police in maintaining peace and public order at and around the site.

@Rustum_0 I didn't trust them either, before i read FE Pargiter's "Ancient Indian Historical Tradition", as i thought Hindus lacked a sense of history.But Pargiter shows that lack of historical sense was Brahminical, and the Sutas who preserved the Kshatriya genealogy had historical sense.

Two close relatives of mine who have been doing business with Muslims for decades make a similar point. As individuals, Muslims can be very wonderful, generous and kind people. But once they come together as a group, they are ultra tribalistic, shitty ones who will always prefer their Quom over even close Hindu friends when it comes to business deals.
So this behavior is perfectly rational 👇👇
