Petrol adulteration has reached alarming levels. First came ethanol blending, and now it feels like fuel stations can mix whatever they want. Consumers have no transparency and no way of knowing how much ethanol is actually being blended by OMCs. This is a disgraceful situation for millions of vehicle owners.
@PetroleumMin, your ministry has failed to ensure transparency and accountability. Policies that create uncertainty for consumers while risking vehicle performance deserve serious scrutiny. The people of India deserve better than this.

While refueling a 2026 Honda Elevate,
I noticed something that instantly caught my attention
There was no "E20 Petrol Compatible" sticker anywhere on the fuel lid.
These days,
almost every new car proudly displays E20 compatibility,
so seeing it missing felt a little unusual.
Instead, the only thing written inside was
"RON 91 Minimum
Unleaded Fuel Only."
And that’s it.
No E20 mention. No special badge. Nothing.
That got me wondering
Is the Honda Elevate not E20 compatible ?
Or has Honda simply changed the way it communicates E20 compatibility ?
A tiny missing sticker
but it has sparked a big question among car owners.

So,before all this,when we were having normal days. I used to fill my car petrol tank for about 4.5k. Used to give me 600kms aprox.
Now in Amrit kaal It costs me 5.7k (N95), it’s having E20, so a waste of money. And my car gave me a milage of 450kms.
Is this the Amrit kaal we were promised, kya Acche din aagye hain ?

#WATCH | Nagpur, Maharashtra: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari says, “Last night at 8 PM, I signed the file, finalising the regulations to legally authorise the use of 100% ethanol. I am delighted to share that I, along with Hardeep Singh Puri, had the opportunity to launch the 100% ethanol-compatible version of the WagonR—Maruti Suzuki’s best-selling car. Regarding motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp—which accounts for three out of every five motorcycles sold—has launched two flex-fuel models capable of running on 100% ethanol. Following this, companies like Toyota, Suzuki, MG, and Hyundai will launch 100% ethanol-compatible vehicles within the next month and a half. Thus, ethanol will serve as a viable alternative to petrol. People used to laugh when I spoke of this dream, and some friends even criticised it...Soon, we will launch a pilot project in Nagpur featuring a hydrogen pump and two hydrogen-powered buses. The public will be able to ride these hydrogen buses, which will be powered by green hydrogen extracted from water using an electrolyser. That day is now near.”
