@Samhitab4u Used to like Bobby da dhaba just outside Ulsoor Gurudwara. I guess it’s shifted somewhere near Yeshwantpur now.

Relax guys… this isn’t Punjab, but this place in Bangalore feels like it. No fancy setup Just charpai stools, mitti vibes & proper dhaba feel Butter chicken + roti = simple but perfect 🤌 And that kulhad lassi… thick and creamy Sometimes simple places > fancy cafes Would you try this?

@ravihanda Hyundai losing market share. From no.2 to no.4. Despite their flagship model Creta. Variants confusing yes - for top end price of Venue, you can get Creta. Unless you are clear what you want, hard choice.

Went to the Hyundai showroom today. It was literally so packed that we couldn't find a place to sit. Test drove the Exter. Nice car. Fancier i10 I think. Venue felt better. One problem with both those cars, too many versions. Makes it really hard to decide.

@MaazMz Used Ciaz for 10 years. Miss the Fiat 1.2. What’s ur exp on Seltos - first para you talk abt body roll and bumpy ride. Second para, you it absorbs bumps and is comfortable

After daily driving ciaz for almost 2 years, now i have shifted to. kia seltos. My initial takeaway is that, a sedan is a sedan is a sedan.... Even with 50% more power in the seltos, i feel all this power cant be properly utilized because of the body roll and bumpy ride of an SUV. Give me this much of power in a sedan, and you get to feel the proper driving dynamics and feel of the engine. SUVs are more of a comfort oriented ride. Though, I feel less bumps and potholes inside the cabin, but yeah everything has a trade-offs to make...

No- He is chairman. If there is something seriously wrong he cannot run away without getting it resolved or passing it to proper authorities. If there is nothing seriously wrong he can choose his time of exit. Independent director means he is representing shareholders- cannot be just random and driven by anger and personal ego

@mohansson @zenx Actually good walking paths aka footpaths are needed. Last mile connectivity should be walk for most of us. Improvement of health is a side effect. Walking a mile or more was very common till a decade back.

@zenx Most metro and bus stops don’t have parking spaces next to them for bikes and cars. So there is still need for last mile connectivity.

Was at Haralur Rd mins ago. Counted 25+ cars with just one person in them (not including professional drivers) before I saw one with 2 in it. That's less than half a bus full! Why isn't this getting solved thru tech/neighbourliness? Why do people choose+create pain, congestion?

@seriousfunnyguy It was indeed a good initiative. But lacked full chain initiative. After cleaning the trash, where do you dispose it. Today’s biggest challenge faced by all cities. How do you dispose waste.

I feel terribly sorry for failure of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It was the best thing that happened & I myself witnessed the effectiveness even in far off villages among children, men and women. Everyone knew मोदी जी का स्वच्छ भारत अभियान। It was a delight watching people clean up surroundings, people knocking on the windows of cars who threw trash on roads, people carrying their trash in their pockets until they found a trash bin. It seemed India was improving and then it all fizzled down in a few years.

@zenx @vibhurishi Just came back home from office on a crowded 500ch. Got a window seat after a few stops, enjoyed raindrops and a nap, like many fellow passengers. Personal private space while commuting in a car is perceived as a privilege but you can get the same on a bus too.

@zenx @vibhurishi Everything has a cost. Guess no one talks about personal space in London. Even with salary in GBP. What is cheap in India - fuel, car or service. Check taxis too next time.

@volklub Do you have variants wise price break up. It’s been a trend for last few years to have a stripped down version at damn cheap price. Except safety features, usually nothing is in there. Is it different for Duster. Eg Creta base model ex showroom is 10.8 something I guess.

If Duster (160 PS, 280 Nm) at ₹12.99 lakh doesn’t do well, then we really don’t deserve performance-oriented cars at affordable prices. We will remain an average car market, with a mindset stuck on fuel efficiency and buying what’s common just for FOMO. Duster deserves massive, massive success. As a package they are offering too much with this engine.

@volklub @manas_muduli what about the poor placement of speed breaker? once the car is climbing is passing over it, it will gain some momentum climbing down. Biker is at mistake but may be he thought there is enough margin

Another example of careless driving. Who do you think is at fault here? The biker who suddenly cut across the car? Or, the car driver who should have been more careful? Moments like these show how a split second on the road can decide everything.

Did the test drive. Elevate is better than Hyryder for sure. But it still feels flimsy and substandard when compared to my 10 year old Honda City. Guess Kushaq and Seltos are next on the trial list.
Ravi Handa@ravihanda

Booked a test drive for Honda Elevate. Tried Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Mercedes GLA. Didn’t like Hyryder. The breaking was too strong. Also, the steering felt too hard to move. GLA was months ago. I have forgotten what it felt like. Main blocker there is cost.

@volklub What’s wrong in doing paid campaigns. If you are saying something bad as good, then it may be wrong. You are anyways recommending cars. Whats wrong with pushing one brand. Yes, taking break can hit the brand. Ideally avoid.

I am at an extremely difficult crossroads. While sitting on 300K organic subscribers and nearly 20-25M consistent monthly reach, getting all kinds of six-figure ad campaign offers, paid video consultation requests, a consultation business that is finally taking off, and a growing base of paid members on YouTube and Instagram, which is actually the sweet spot to scale things further, I have somehow lost my interest in automobiles completly. I genuinely don’t feel like doing walkarounds or reviews anymore. Zero interest. I feel I probably need a break for 3–4 months and want to learn new tech more seriously for my website building business for sustainability in coming years, but the worst part is that in this space, if you disappear for that long, you can become irrelevant very quickly. Pathetic feeling this!

What kills me is that ORR has so many buses. So many. If they were only allowed to move at a normal speed during rush hours. Priority lanes in prime time, will change the economic face of ORR and city.
