Breaking: Senate @mngop Leader @Senmarkjohnson just told the press the @mnsrc is 100% opposed to @GovTimWalz and @MinnesotaDFL's attempt to increase the excise tax on hemp and cannabis by 50% in their last minute backroom end of session negotiations. @mnhouseDFL @SenateDFL #mnleg

DFL Senator @grant_hauschild, DFL Senate Majority Leader @epmurphymn, DFL Speaker Emeritus @melissahortman & DFL @GovTimWalz want to raise the so called "sin" tax on Minnesota cannabis/hemp by 50% in the Omnibus #mnleg Tax Bill, #SF2374. Fight back here: bluntstrategies.com/no-tax-hike

Could "magic" mushrooms soon be legal for therapeutic use in Minnesota? A new bill would create a legal pathway for just that. Read more about the bill here: fox9.com/news/minnesota…

The push to legalize magic mushrooms in Minnesota for therapeutic use — there was some compelling testimony in the legislature including from veterans about how psilocybin mushrooms can save lives

I was using ChatGPT for legal advice and it decided to completely hallucinate some preposterous nonsense about how growing medical cannabis in my own backyard, exclusively for my own personal use, somehow constitutes interstate commerce.

I never would have supported the legalization of husbandry and farming had I known what would end up happening to young people and our rural towns. I deeply regret it. Every small town and tractor in them just reeks of manure everywhere. It is absolutely vile.

I never would have supported the legalization of marijuana had I known what would end up happening to young people and our cities. I deeply regret it. Every major city and uber in them just reeks of weeds everywhere. It is absolutely vile.

I’ve had the privilege of working with @RepDaveJoyce for close to 10 years, and he has been a republican leader on cannabis reform from the moment I met him. Excited to work on finally getting SAFER across the line. Onward!!!

Proud to see @POTUS deliver on his commitment to the American people with the EO to reschedule cannabis. This is a win for patients—especially seniors & veterans—who deserve clear info, access to care, and choice with their doctors.   This common-sense action ends blocked research, distorted markets, and years of unnecessary denial. Today’s decision protects public safety and puts the health of all Americans first.   Now, Congress should follow suit and close remaining gaps in federal law to ensure a safe, regulated, and evidence-based framework moving forward.

Reclassifying marijuana is a major win for personal freedom and medical research. I’m glad to see President Trump take action to modernize outdated federal policy and give states more room to decide. Thank you, Mr. President.

Clemency and federal legalization are the next important steps. Americans across the political spectrum agree that no one should remain incarcerated for non-violent marijuana offenses. @weldon_angelos and my team look forward to working with @potus and others to make these next steps a reality.

🚨BREAKING🚨 President Trump just ordered that marijuana be reclassified from Schedule I to Schedule III. GOA is calling on ATF to cease treating Americans who are prescribed marijuana as "unlawful users of controlled substances" & federally prohibited from possessing firearms.
