@rossiadam @aymanalabdul I tried to get a second opinion for my mom from a doctor that didn't tale Medicare. We said we would pay his rate for the visit. The front desk's exact words were, "That would be illegal."

$100m Business idea Catastrophic Health Insurance Insurance that only kicks in for expenses over $100k. Everything else is out of pocket Who’s building this? I’ll invest
Wall Street Apes@WallStreetApes

American is a healthy 28 year old, he decided to skip paying for health insurance this year because the cheapest plan was $900 per month with a high deductible He had to spend 2 nights in the ER without insurance, he breaks down the bill “This is my receipt from spending 2 days in the hospital: - It totaled about $24,000 - My CT scan alone was $8,300 - Laboratory, 6,000 - IV therapy, $1,020, $4,000 in total And while $24,000 seems like a lot of money, let me show you something. This is what I'm actually paying, $2,478 because when you don't have insurance, these hospitals give you a discount. They discounted $22,000 off of this bill” “But if I had insurance, I wouldn't have gotten that discount. So it would've been a $24,000 bill billed to my insurance, and then my insurance would've said, ‘Hey, you have a $5,000 deductible. You need to pay $5,000 for this last emergency room visit.’ Then you tack on the $900 a month that I'd be paying for that insurance. I'd be paying $20K this year for healthcare. So the craziest part about this is even if I have another hospital visit, by the end of this year, I'm still gonna be paying less than I would if I had insurance. At minimum, my cost for healthcare this year would've been $20,000 with insurance. Right now I'm at $2,400.” US Health Insurance is a scam

If I pay my mortgage for 30 years I’ll have $600k in equity on a home valued over $1 million dollars. If I rent for 30 years I’ll pay off my landlord’s house and have nothing to show for it. When it comes to Buying vs Renting — the answer is clear.

Well, didn’t make it to the landscape job yet. I went out to start the truck and the starter was bad. Just when you think you’re getting ahead, bam, something sets you right back :( Thankfully the landscaping customers are nice and understood. $400 down the drain ☹️

California artist painted a 600-foot mural on an overpass that only comes to life when you're driving. Hit the right speed and suddenly the figures start moving. A horse runs, stretches, and turns into a bird taking flight Pretty damn cool 🤯

Home Depot sells this house for just $43k After buying land, paying for labor to assemble it, getting utilities hooked up, pulling permits, pouring the driveway, setting up plumbing and electrical systems, landscaping, and property taxes, it only costs $497,000 to own your own home Why aren’t more people doing this?

Just got off a call with a guy who just got a $34m inheritance from his parents Not in real estate value… Not in stocks… But in cold hard cash. The kid is 23 and makes $200k/year as a software engineer Has no idea whatsoever what to do with this money What would you do with it? Here’s what I suggested (I’m not a financial advisor, and this is not financial advice) Invest $12.5m into $VOO (S&P500 ETF) Invest $12.5m into $QQQ (Nasdaq ETF) Buy a $5m primary residence in cash And with the last $5m, buy section 8 real estate properties. I connected him with the sourcing company I use, and over the next 12 months They’re going to source him 150-180 rental properties This will create enormous tax deductions that will eliminate his income tax for years And he’ll earn ~$600k-700k in annual recurring cashflow And the $5m he puts into down payments will turn into $25m of equity once the federal government pays off all the debt in 30 years Simple playbook to ensuring that $34m turns into multiple 9 figures and true generational wealth

Perhaps, to you, she was merely another white woman‼️ who meant nothing at all. But to me, she was a brilliant, beautiful lawyer a remarkable professional whose life was brutally stolen. She was murdered by a black killer who, in his rage, arranged her assassination for a mere R5,000 or R10,000 simply because she had been investigating him for fraud at work and had him dismissed. Does this make any sense to you, Jean? I implore you to think carefully about what you are saying to me. Her death was not insignificant it was a devastating loss, and the cold-blooded nature of this crime demands to be acknowledged with the gravity it deserves.

@randy_avera @DrHelenFry There were a lot of POW camps in Canada, which was more secure than UK. Escapees tried to make it across the St Lawrence to neutral USA. Only one ever made it, was returned to Germany and later killed in a flying accident. See Ulrich Steinhilper’s memoir trilogy, recommended.

@Alpaca_Capital Every "nobody wants to work" complaint I've ever dug into turned out to be "nobody wants to work for what we're offering." The skills shortage is usually a pay shortage wearing a trenchcoat.
