This made me laugh Literally have done all these before The high sugar diet one nearly killed me, +30 lbs in like 2 months and insulin sensitivity shot to heck The only one that worked (still is): high protein carnivore in a caloric deficit Hardly ever hungry, no blood sugar rollercoaster hangryness, insulin sensitivity restored, lowered inflammation, back to normal healthy weight I'm done experimenting, found my forever food ❤️

Huge fan of people who don’t overcomplicate things, who don’t overthink things, who can make big & small decisions, who can pivot course when needed

The carnivore paradox that breaks people's brains: - Eating more fat makes you lose fat. - Eating more cholesterol improves your cholesterol panel. - Eating more saturated fat reduces inflammation. - Eating more red meat improves your bloodwork. - Eating zero fibre improves your digestion. Everything they told you would kill you is making you healthier. Everything they said was healthy was making you sick. The diet itself is almost beside the point. The real shift is realising the entire paradigm was inverted from the start. - Fat doesn't make you fat. Sugar and seed oils do. - Cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease. Inflammation and insulin resistance do. - Saturated fat doesn't clog arteries. Oxidised seed oils do. - Red meat doesn't cause cancer. Processed food, sugar, and refined oil do. - Fibre doesn't soothe digestion. It irritates it. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Every food pyramid, every NHS leaflet, every "heart healthy" tick on the cereal box reads like an instruction manual for the diseases it claims to prevent. The emperor has no clothes. He's also diabetic, on three medications, and wondering why his knees hurt.

I have a short piece in the @thedispatch newsletter @valerificent today about the Rebel Yell (the Civil War battle cry), and how maybe we can't quite remember it. Is it possible that something as elemental as a scream might actually change over time? This was really fun to write!

You soak your beans overnight to reduce phytic acid. You sprout your grains to neutralise the antinutrients. You boil your spinach to break down oxalates. You ferment your legumes to make them digestible. You roast your nuts to deactivate enzyme inhibitors. You pressure cook your lectins. You peel, you blanch, you discard the cooking water. Hours of preparation. Multiple appliances. A pantry full of techniques refined over millennia by humans desperately trying to make plants less hostile to the people eating them. All this effort. All this ceremony. To render the food slightly less determined to harm you. Or you could feed the plants to a cow. Let its four-chambered fermentation system handle the entire operation across 24 to 48 hours of specialised bacterial digestion. Then eat the cow. Zero phytic acid. Zero oxalates. Zero lectins. Zero antinutrients of any kind. Just complete bioavailable protein, every essential amino acid, B12, iron, zinc, creatine, and the fat-soluble vitamins, all packaged in a form your body recognises without a 12-step preparation manual. The cow already did the soaking, sprouting, boiling, and fermenting. It's called ruminant digestion. You're eating the finished product. Beef is the ultimate plant-based food. All the nutrition the plant pulled from the soil, none of the chemistry the plant deployed to stop you eating it. The carnivore isn't avoiding plants. He's outsourcing the detoxification to an animal evolved over 50 million years to handle it. And then he's sitting down to dinner like a civilised person, instead of standing over a stockpot at 11pm wondering why his kale still tastes like punishment.

Kitchen physics 101: Any roast must become fork tender after reaching 203°. You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to cook a mouthwatering roast. You can cook it fast in a pressure cooker or slow in a crock pot. All you need is a little salt or seasoning and some broth or water. Chuck roasts are the most popular because they have the perfect ratio of fat and protein and they turn out the most delicious. Here’s a guide to cherry picking chucks!

Did anyone else have “fend for yourself” nights growing up? When mom just didn’t feel like cooking and let everyone figure out their own dinner ??

Humanoid Unitree G1 spotted on a recent Southwest Airlines flight. Expect to see a lot more of these in everyday life over the coming months. Now the real question—how do they get through TSA? And what about the lithium batteries?

Today at Meatstock was wild 🔥
Carnivores everywhere… felt like home. Worked the Carnivore Bar booth so of course I crushed some pemmican 💪 Lunch: brisket + eggy waffles + lime egg pudding
Spotted Dr. Ken Berry mid-bite like a gremlin… missed my chance 😂 Dinner at Dick's Last Resort = got roasted by the waitress AND had a surprisingly good steak If you’re here, come find me 👀

Hit the road this morning—Meatstock, here I come! 🚗🔥 Started the day with a cup of broth, dropped my kiddo off, then drove 2.5 hours to my sister-in-law’s where we squeezed in a walk together. Back on the road to Gatlinburg!
Lunch = cold chuck roast (honestly hits every time). 4.5 hours later… I made it 🙌
Quick walk, hotel check-in, then straight to dinner. Beef brisket + smoked chicken from Bennett’s Barbecue 🤌 I am DONE for the day 😴
Ready for Meatstock in the morning!
