Happy 250th birthday to the USA, which I truly believe is the greatest country in the world. It is great despite its flaws and precisely because it corrects for its flaws. Loving the country does not mean loving a particular political figure or an ideology. It’s believing in this country and knowing that it can and will always do better and get better. And I believe that with all my heart! God bless America! Proud to be an American! Happy 4th everyone

@LoneStarLegendX Really .. that’s your go to now? That she voted against Trump 40% as opposed to 20% because of threats from the liberals? Why not 90% of the time time then? God you guys are Pathetic!

Amy Coney Barrett’s record tells a troubling story. Before Dobbs, she voted with the conservative position in 81% of non-unanimous cases. Since then, that number has dropped sharply into the 50–60% range in subsequent terms — including on major cases involving birthright citizenship, election procedures, and administrative power, where she has sided with Chief Justice Roberts and the liberals. The Dobbs leak triggered violent threats and protests aimed directly at Supreme Court justices. If the threat of violence or intimidation can move a justice’s votes on foundational issues, we have a constitutional crisis on our hands. Judicial independence is not optional — it is the foundation of the rule of law. When justices appear to bend under pressure, public trust collapses and the entire system is at risk. This cannot be allowed to stand. Threats against the Court must be met with zero tolerance, full investigations, and real consequences — no matter who makes them. Anything less is an attack on self-government itself.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. USA is the best country in the world precisely because of this. Hopefully after this admin we move in a direction where LEGAL immigration is expanded and illegal immigration alone is curtailed. Which btw is EXACTLY what Trump himself kept saying on the campaign trail before going off the deep end post election. Thats what people voted for in 2024 (including many minorities & naturalized citizens), NOT the nonsense crap show we have now.
The Alpha Ledger@thealphaledger

@Geiger_Capital @Jason Roughly 26 to 28 percent of Americans living in 2026 are post 1965 immigrants. Post 1965 immigration produced roughly a quarter of today’s population and we are approaching 30 percent.

@Jason @JDVance @VP This is a ridiculous idea. How about we limit it to universities and direct hire companies? No third party placements or consultants. That by itself would stop the abuse. Because that is where it is happening.

The best way to stop H-1B abuse and pay down our debt is to auction off H-1B visas with a starting price of $30,000 each. Google, Microsoft, Apple and META will run most of these up to $100,000 each! @JDVance @vp Mr. Vice President, please consider! No one is spending $30-100k+ to bring in a $50,000 IT worker. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

@VijayachandraK @MaitreyaBhakal President of India and President of US are completely different. President of US is more equivalent to PM of India. President of India is pretty much a figure head - not much real power

Caste was the defining aspect of ancient India. But Slavery was never the defining aspect of ancient Greece. EVERYTHING in ancient India must be reduced to caste. But NOTHING in ancient Greece must be reduced to Slavery. Eastern civilizations must always be defined by their worst attributes, but western civilization must always be defined by its best ones. Your aberration is your essence, our essence is merely an aberration. Our civilization must be judged only by its successes, yours must be judged only by its flaws.

If they are doing this, I would go a step further and talk about fixing the LEGAL immigration system to make it easier, contrary to what the current admin is doing. Also make sure rights for LEGAL immigrants are fully protected and there is a path to maintaining legal status. Don’t create MORE illegal immigrants

Thomas Edsall saying Dems need to get tougher on immigration and crime, and be clear that there are two sexes, and while trans people need their rights protected, that does not include playing on women's teams or being in prison alongside women. This is gonna get some heat! 1/

Firstly there’s nothing in here about illegals and they are not eligible for government benefits like Snap. This is just ethnicity and many of these folks are citizens. Secondly Afghans living here came legally. They are the folks who helped our troops during the 20 useless years we spent there, risking their own lives. So yes this country owes them Thirdly look who is at the bottom of the chart, the least dependent is Indians. But you don’t like them either and rail against them all the time. So it does not matter what immigrants do. End of the day you are in fact a racist bigoted loser.

America spends $7.8B monthly on SNAP. If ILLEGALS were removed from SNAP the cost would reduce 70%. If all benefits were CUT OFF they would LEAVE. 45% of ALL AFGHANI’s living in America receive FREE FOOD from YOU. Is this your American dream? Cause it sure isn't mine.

Classical error of assuming Correlation = causation. A) If the poor are working 7 hours less (36 vs 43 for the rich), then by definition you cannot say they don’t work B) could easily mean they don’t get enough hours to work - many companies deliberately hire part time only so they don’t have to pay benefits etc. And it’s not practical for many people to work a second job to make up that 7 hour difference in the week. C) if someone cannot get a job (or higher paying job)and does not have the money to pay the ridiculously high cost of the education to get a job (or higher paying job), what exactly do you suggest should happen? And D) if companies keep automating or undercutting wages, yes that’s their right but how is that the workers fault? You can’t turn around and say they “don’t work” because they do.

These are Hispanics and the US govt does not recognize Hispanic as a race only as an ethnicity. When they report stats they do it by both race and ethnicity as well. So it’s pretty easy to see the stats on Non-Hispanic White vs Hispanic. This does not prove the point you think it’s proving. There are bad people of all backgrounds. All you are doing is displaying your ignorance, idiocy and downright despicable racism.

@rationals3nse @lsferguson They all commit fraud alike. We don’t wanted brown people here. We have brown fatigue. They commit crime, fraud, and are violent. See where I said ALL?? Here is a few reasons why. Notice how they are marked white? Yeah. Stfu.

How the fuck were 30% of Haitians living in the US on the Temporary Protected Status program able to get mortgages that American citizens wouldn't qualify for?

@khavvus @lsferguson No one does at the beginning. They have to build it. The 30% that got approved have probably been here for 2-3 years and that’s typically enough time to built a credit history if you have an ok job and pay your bills on time.

They do it all the time actually. And those folks actually have a way lower default rate than US citizens. If they have to move they typically sell the house and pay off the loan. What will send home prices plummeting and totally crash the economy will be this ridiculous push for sudden mass deportations. Be careful what you wish for. In fact that’s probably one reason why Trump suspended his own move.

Well they actually do perform a lot of business in this country and most Americans knowingly or not, partake and benefit from it. And as for their kids born in this country, they are Americans, period. Regardless of what the parents may have done. You can feel whatever you want. But the constitution trumps your feelings.

👀That was fast. @SenatorBanks read Justice Kavanaugh's concurrence in the Birthright Citizenship case closely. The Supreme Court's Wong Kim Ark said 3 categories of people don't get citizenship. One is children of invaders. So he's introducing a law labeling illegals invaders
