@rawcode @angryseattle It works great in upstate NY which has similar seasons, harsher conditions in winter and summer, and a shorter “work season” when it’s safe to do this genre of infrastructure. It is better to invest a billion dollars in burying lines than lose billions every day of outages, no?

So I need to replace my AC unit (and my furnace is ancient) and someone gave me a quote, but wouldn't give me one for a heat pump. Because "It's dumb not to use a gas furnace," I'm pretty sure replacing both the AC and Furnace is double the cost of a heat pump?
