I made a New Year's resolution to get out of my music-listening rut, but haven't made any progress. I need suggestions! Today I'm in a "weird" mood. 🙃 Who is making good weird music right now? Weird like Frank Zappa weird, or Moondog weird, or Devendra Banhart weird.

In 2014 I had the honor of co-hosting his visit to Columbia. In addition to faculty and student seminars, he spoke to a crowd of 500 outside Pulitzer Hall- a talk titled "Gaia Intrudes". Also on that visit, his play "Gaia Global Circus" had a brief run at TheKitchen. Such talent.

Such a loss.

Still processing this. I have so many emotions tied up with the Livehoods work. It truly was a labor of love. Interviewing Pittsburgh residents about their neighborhoods with @razsc was one of the highlights of my research career. Just feeling reflective and honored.
