A longstanding client of @IDBI_Bank I went to the NIBM Pune branch to apply for a locker. I was told I needed a term deposit of 5 lakhs (-USD 5k) for this. When I asked for the banks directive on this, I was told: There is nothing in writing but it’s required! Period. #banking

Construction material was dumped in the parking in front of my building in Lakeview Enclave Bhopal. When I protested, the contractor called a goon who gathered a crowd and misbehaved. He claims he is a BJP worker of Minister for Urban Development. Dangiji is this true??

@sanjeevsanyal I would also love to see an analysis of the #trade and #defence deals with the countries that benefitted from #USAID grants. we have known for long that aid, trade and defence go hand in hand. US taxpayers “gains” from USAID investments must be put into perspective.

Would love to find out who received the US$21mn spent to improve "voter turnout in India" and the US$29mn to "strengthening political landscape in Bangladesh"; not to mention the US$29mn spend to improve "fiscal federalism" in Nepal. USAID is the biggest scam in human history.

@sanjeevsanyal To me it reflects a lack of trust within agencies and between them. All these checks are handled by the airline and CISF. A further layer of checking has been added with the introduction of PSA

A question to anyone who understands airport security. A common phenomenon in Indian airports is that one is asked for the boarding card at the boarding gate, and then again 30 seconds later at the aircraft gate. At the latter, some number is manually struck off a chart. What exactly is the point of this, especially with aero bridge boarding ? I have never seen this in any other country. Is this a candidate for process reform?

@airindia Interestingly, they didn’t inform me they’d cancelled one sector. They didn’t refund the amount for that sector. And they deducted points for upgrading a sector they cancelled??!!
