@scottbrennan13 Yes gas is expensive now. It’s also the last source of energy that you have a bit more say in what you do with it. Elec have smart meters and they can turn your power off at any time.

@rds_82 Thinking of getting rid of the gas hot water and stove top and going all electric, we generate way more power than we use from our solar panels, gas bills are stupidly high.

Can any plumbers on here explain heat pumps to me, is it instant hot water , how long does it stay hot.

@scottbrennan13 It’s a storage electric HWS. It just sucks in outside air and converts the ambient air through an exchanger to the body of water. Instant would mean you’d have a circulating flow and return line, domestically instant is a continuous flow HWS like a Rinnai.

Conspiracy theorists love pointing out all the reasons why Trump is MAGA, why he is right, and what he is doing is like playing 4D, 5D or 6D chess. *sigh* Meanwhile, they've never said anything about Trump basically doubling Russia's income in a month with oil prices sky-rocketing, and then lifting sanctions on energy exports out of Russia. Plus, Iran's income on oil increasing and sanctions also lifting. If you had ZERO emotional bias to either world leader, political party or country, and you were only an onlooker from another planet, it would be easy to make the assumption that all of these leaders are conspiring together against the people. Maybe, just maybe, Trump is paying back his dues to the Russians after they bailed him out last financial crisis? We'll never know of course... What we do know, and there's no denying it is we're the only ones that things are not great again for in all of this.
