I was honored to write a guest piece for Revolver about the dismissal of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers cases, because too many people still refuse to face the lawfare, overcharging, and government abuse carried out in the name of January 6.
For over five years now, the media and elites have pushed a false "insurrection" narrative while American families were left to deal with the wreckage. Now, as some of these cases are being dismissed, the same people who cheered that on want to act scandalized.
The dismissals represent an important first step, and credit is due where it's due. But a first step isn't the finish line. Families are still living with the damage. Years were stolen, reputations were destroyed, and children were traumatized. The cost of this lawfare didn't disappear just because the headlines changed.
That's why real accountability and restitution matter, if we ever hope to heal as a nation from this injustice.
