After Kuwait stripped Diplomat Badr Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Awadi of his citizenship earlier this year, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa granted him citizenship and gave him a high-ranking foreign ministry advisor role. He is a career Kuwaiti diplomat who served as Kuwait's Ambassador to the United Kingdom. This was done "by dependency" after the posthumous revocation of his late father Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Awadi's citizenship (a former security officer). The appointment is at the highest/excellent diplomatic rank, which is higher than his previous rank in the Kuwaiti foreign service.

Today, Pooja runs a small tiffin service and lives a very simple life in a chawl. Life is just so unpredictable.

Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, today handed over a letter addressed by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister @MIshaqDar50 to the President of the UN Security Council, Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei of Bahrain. The letter draws the attention of the Security Council, one year after India’s illegal decision to hold the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) in abeyance, of its grave peace and security, and humanitarian consequences. The Security Council has been urged to take cognizance of the alarming situation and call upon India to restore the full implementation of IWT, resume all Treaty-mandated cooperation and data-sharing without delay, desist from any form of water coercion, and comply fully with its international obligations in good faith. The Permanent Representative also briefed the President of the Security Council on the regurgitation of baseless allegations and propaganda by India at a time when Pakistan is engaged in serious mediation efforts to promote regional and international peace and security.
