The Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of Virginia in choosing to nullify an election and the votes of more than three million Virginians. These Virginians made their voices heard — casting their ballots in good faith to push back against a President who said he’s “entitled” to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls. As Governor, I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year. Because our votes are how we choose the representation we deserve.

We have a responsibility to give our kids the skills they need to succeed — inside and outside the classroom. That’s why I signed a bipartisan bill into law requiring cursive handwriting to be taught in every PA public school. It’s why I’ve called on the legislature to pass a bill requiring schools to implement a bell-to-bell cell phone ban and also directed the State Board of Education to develop recommendations for schools to guarantee recess for their students. And it’s why we’re taking action right now to help our kids navigate AI and use it safely. Look, I know that technology is becoming more ingrained into our everyday lives — but as adults, we’re not powerless here. Let’s continue this work to create a better future for our next generation.

When Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans voted to cut Medicaid last summer, they knew they were threatening hospitals all across Pennsylvania. They voted for it anyway. You can’t drive on roads without paying tolls, real estate taxes continue to increase, among other things. It has become a hostile environment. That’s why I left.

PA already needs ~100,000 more homes and could be short 185,000 by 2035 if we don’t build more housing. The Road to Housing Act includes @SenatorAndyKim’s and my effort to help build affordable homes through @HUDgov’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
